Q: Whats the air velocity of an unladen swallow?

Q: Sooo just to be sure, this contest is 2 original large grid ships, 3 original small grid ships and an original station in 28 days?
A: Pretty much, but you can only use resources that are provided to you in the cache/LCC/cargo container. So most of them will be rather small. So building in survival mode with space master enabled would be the best way in our opinnion.

Q: Should it be a platform or a base?
A: The demo world has a base but it's up to you to build either one of them.

Q: Does the station have to be connected to the asteroid or is free floating ok?
A: it's not a requirement for it to be "attached" to the asteroid.

Q: Will points be deducted for a green and yellow ships?
A: Nope. You can change the color of them to anything you like...

Q: Does it need to be 5 ships or can i do a multi tool on rotors to combine miner and builder?
A: It needs to be 5 seperate ships since the original map has seperate and distinctive small ships, fighter, builder and a miner...

Q: Seen as its ment to be easy start redeux should we be designing with noobs in mind. Like would a flatter thing with all the conveyors coulour coded and easily visible be better than all asthetic and hidden?
A: That part is up to you. Both ways have their own cool side. Demo world focused on aesthetics bu it can be something for the newbies too...

Q: I assume we are only allowed to use the speed modules.
A: Doesn't matter if you want to use other modules since the amount of resources should be equal or below the total resource count when we look at them by using the SE Toolbox. But if you don't want those other mod ules to confuse you, don't use it. But if you know the total resrouce count of your builds, or how to calculate them, feel free to use it.

Q: Can we use a different skybox?
A: Yes, you can.

Q: it doesnt have to be the same asteroid right?
A: No, you can use a different asteroid.

Q: Do all ships need to be functional, or can red ship for example be crashed?
A: All ships needs to be functional.

2017 Colonization Multi Contest Mods

It all comes down to preferences. There are some builds that I like to do in vanilla while there are some that I like to use mods on.

Limiting everything close to vanilla makes the progress repetitive after some time. But when you include mods, that breaks the repetitive progression and gives us new oppurtunities to expand our imagination.

That's why I like the mod list option in these contests.

Thank you Nemesis. Please link the sub packs your thinking of, because i can tell you right now, the Shaostoul master and Azimuth master packs ain't happenin'. Don't get me wrong, I like their mods, they've both got some great stuff, but loading the master packs + a star system map is gonna take a bit as they're both have fairly high poly models / textures.

Usage:
When you load the world, you'll spawn in a large orbital satellite, follow the path, there'll be a parked small ship waiting for you. Before entering the small ship, please read the instructions on the LCD screen.

The moon base has an automated small ship hangar when you approach the hangar from the top, the sensor will pick up your ship and activate it's entry procedures. You must enter the hangar within 20 seconds after the doors are fully open.

Made for stable branch, some functions won't work in dev branch

Judging sheet template

After seeing the result sheet which was prepared for contest number 31. I couldn't help myself wondering if there's anything I can do about the color klanging.

Almost each field is automated to respond depending on the value that has been put in. I've made sure that each calculations are fair and exact. This is a result of my boredom...
