So has anyone been able to log into the server for the last few days? Or is just hanging for me?

And here I was hoping that I would be able to get the wolves to try to crack open my mountian invasion base. Oh well Elion is becoming known for having crap timing. If I still have a working internet this weekend I will try to get in. May even spawn in the turtle just to see how it preforms against tanks.

Thanks. People can't help people out if they do not know there is a need. I am still trying to find some work before winter hits. I will be updating the campain as soon as I know.

It was not my intentions to be a griefer, cheeter or a dick. If, at any time, I truely wanted to be a dick I could have completly removed every single block on every single ship and station with a multi tool.

As it sits they still have some mostly intact collections of blocks that are missing some bits and pieces and have a few scars on the paint. Everything can still be repaired and rebuilt within a few hours.

But when you don't play the game I guess it matters not.

Any of you who have seen my You tube by now Know that I raided and looted and pillaged the wolves home world and main fleet in space.

WHY?

first for a few reasons, for over a month I logged into EGS and TS, would spend most of the day without talking to anyone, everyone seemed to have quit playing.

I had suggested that the Pirates, and nomads that were on the server occaisionally join in on an attack. I actually had thought that I had support from both factions... I was mistaken. Sorry

I built an attack unit and the means to move it to the planet. I took another two weeks after that and played other games checking on empyrion every day to see if anyone else was ready.

After that I launched an raid into wolves space and raided a derilict ship. At the time I noticed that OP was already off line. That means that no one in the wolves faction had been online for over 3 full days.

I had indicated to the pirate and nomad players that now was the time to do something. Again I thought I had the full support of those factions. Again i was in error.

A week after my initial attack on the first ship I landed a craft on Fenris, I made a very well defended mountain base. This took two days to dig out and build. I then spent another two days raiding the ships in orbit. The OP was still off and technically everything could be considered derilict.

Yes I damaged wolves ships, I blew up cores, cargo and ammo boxes looted and pillaged fuel and warp fuel. I also removed turrents and fixed weapons off of CVs

I recorded the whole event and posted the series on You tube.

I then spent a day unloading and prepping the tank for the invasion.

When I returned to the planet I had again contacted the Pirates, and the nomads. Spanj said they were thinking about attacking Wolves sometime in the next week. I told them that the wolves faction was in fact dead, everything was either unpowered or offline.

I began to build a SV for raiding and expected it to take 2 more days. Ionic (Nomad faction) came to the planet fenris and we raided the CVs on the planet.

The next day he returned and invaded the gunbase on the mountain, I had not expected this to happen and was unprepaired for it. During the Invasion he contacted Spanj who in turn contacted Wolf who then procieded to insult Ionic and myself. We terminated the raid and went back to our respective locations.

I then spent another two days on fenris and built a large CV and returned to the Mercs homeworld.

Why did I do this whole thing?

1 the server is almost dead,

2 it appears that a wipe and reset is imment anyhow so why not see if something can happen?

3 I wanted to see if I could inspire some of the Youtubers on the wolves faction to actually come online and use their ships in defence of the wolves base.

I had hopped that someone in the wolves faction would have been at all intrested in defending themselves, or in at least attacking me on the planet. And inturn generating some action on the server.

It was my undertanding that when the bases, ships and everthing in a 21 person faction are all completely offline that it is safe to assume that the faction is quit playing.

According to the rules, I announced my intentions by raiding the 1st ship, and giving you all a week. in addition to talking to Spanj and ebing lead to believe that Magicslayer were both in agreement.

I then established a base for invaiding fenris, and occupied the planet for over 24 hours

I then attacked space vessles and disabled the space based defences

I then replaced my destoroyed SV . I had brought a large HV for the attack already.

I then raided the CV, Sv, and HV units on the planet.

And raided the bases on the planet.

I WAITED FOR THREE WEEKS FOR A WOLF PLAYER TO COME ON THE PLANET SO WE COULD HAVE A PROPER FIGHT!!!!

So I guess I am a dick

If you want me to quit on the server because you feel I acted unjustly please let me know.

It was my only wish to inspire any action or reacton that would increase intrest in playing on the server. It was my best attempt to increase some activity on the server and to hopefully keep it alive.

After yesterday's TS chat, I wonder Why I bothered to care about it anyhow.

Hey Kids;

As many of you know I have been having a real hard time with things in Real Life, (outside of gameing). This has had the effect of making me short tempered, irritable, and outright nasty. If I hurt your feelings, i am sorry. It was not ment intentionally, I have a real hard time being open to anyone, expecially on the internet.

I am not normally one to share my private life with anyone so this whole thing is driven me past any limits of a comfort zone. But here goes.

Rather than share the whole story in a wall of text I will link to you a gofundme campain that I started. Please watch the video before just ignoring the whole thing. It is me, and it is the brutal truth.

All I ask from you is If you can share the link in your social media. If you can help out in any other way that would be awesome. But all I am asking is you help me share the campain and hopefully I will be kept from loosing everything, incluiding the friendships I have here.

This all sounds great, but one small flaw. There is almost no consistant players any more. The Mercs are all but gone and will probaly not return if there is a reset.

If things continue the way they are, I can see the server becoming more of a set of unassoicated factions of pirates, freelancers, privateers and whatnot vs the wolves. This last reset was supposed to bring an aspect of RPG style gameplay into the game, but no one seemed to really be intrested in playing.

We had some rough bits getting going but the server never really recovered, expecially with the majority of key players (wally, disturbed, wolf and so on) quitting the game. The movie that everyone worked so hard on got placed on a back burner and forgotten about. The alien invasion threat never returned. The titan planets were more of a hassle than they were a benifit and many people were insulted by the way the whole mess was 'fixed' whole playfields are unreliable, regeneerating bugs are everywhere again.

But enough navel gazing

I think that the ships in game need to use hard coded turrnet size limits, and classifications, Yes 12 arty turrents on a skiff is a bit rediclious. but having a heavy fighter that relies on sentry gun turrents is equally rediculous. There are game balance issues that the devs need to address and not some poor bugger who is striving to make a server fun.

For now I say enjoy what is remaining and see what the next version brings. perhaps we can rejuvinate the server with a fresh restart. And then we can revisit the idea of custom weapon loadouts, ship class and sizes. Or perhaps the devs will fix it so things like that can be configured in the server files then they only need to be worked out once.
