Some community members have shown that Firaxis has been quietly working on something in the background, most likely a patch. Hopefully we will see it soon

And for those who haven't read the reviews, it does improve the game considerably, and the maps are much better.

The release of the expansion is finally here. Hopefully, by the time you all read this, you will be happily playing along. So far, reviews are pretty positive.

An interview with one of the developers of the XCOM Expansion, titled Enemy Within, has been posted on rockpapershotgun. Will they fix the problems we all had with the original? That remains to be seen. What we do find out is a whole new set of features that expand on the original formula: more choices, more customization. It remains to be seen what they do with the strategic layer to make the game less linear, and more sandbox, like the original. For now, you can read about it on:

It's been announced that XCOM will be released for Apple's OSX on April 25th. It's also been mentioned that an iOS build for both iPhone and iPad will have a release. We welcome all apple fans to join the fight and encourage any and all new members!
