The reason why this group was founded

I see this group as an communal area where ALL groups can share/communicate their events and support each other. There are times where due to the physical logistics its not possible for a group to be running/organizing an event 24/7 but there are definitely times where members of said group are online and willing to play ARMA.

I picture a scenario where I could go to a centralized resource and see (in my local time zone) a list of all ARMA events that allow guests so members of Group A could play as guests in Group B's event because it doesn't conflict with Group A's schedule. I think it would be reasonable for most units/clans to expect that if Group A and Group B have conflicting events that members would attend their own group's event but beyond that people should be free to play anywhere open to them.

Hi all,

Just wanted to announce the group has opened. The idea is to gather all the people who read /r/arma, /r/arma3 and /r/armadev in one location. The goal is promote events and Steam I feel is one of the best places to alert people that an event is taking place.

Members of this group are allowed to post events (rather than spam inviting people to games), please do not edit other people's events and all recruitment posts should go to www.reddit.com/r/findaunit this is not a place to advertise recruitment. If you are a unit that wants to hold open days or promote an event taking place on your server that is fine.

If people start to abuse the event system then we'll have to lock it down and appoint moderators (which I'd prefer to avoid)
