Rules & guidelines for Bash Brothers
If you are new, or an experienced member, you should check out some of these rules and guidelines that has been formed to make sessions and the atmosphere in general enjoyable for everyone involved.

Bash Brothers is as you may/may not know a completely open ARMA 3 community, that welcomes anyone to join us in our sessions. However, to make sure that the community is the best that it can be we have some rules and guidelines everyone should be familiar with. These rules apply to both in sessions, and when interacting with other members on the forum or the group page. These rules are nothing out of the ordinary, but it is good to be aware of them.

We will first start with some general rules before heading to mission specific rules.

General guidelines/rules

#1 Respect the other members

It should go without saying that you should treat other members/squadmates with the same respect that you expect back from them. The key behind any great community is the acceptance of diversity, and we are no different. We believe that our community is great because of its openness, and we would never sully that viewpoint. Treat others well, and you will be treated well in return. However, constructive criticism on any aspect of the community is more than welcome. We can't progress and evolve without any feedback from our members.

Members who continously treat other members with disrespect and scorn, or members who in some way make the experience difficult for other members will suffer warnings from admins. If these warnings are not taken seriously you will most likely be removed from the server/community.

Mission guidelines/rules

#1 Cherish teamwork

We believe that true tactical fun is when all parts involved are working together towards the mission. The moments we remember the best are the moments when every member had a clear understanding of what needed to be done, when the leaders supported all the members, and we could laugh and cry about the things that happened under the mission.

We must never forget the importance of teamwork, and the common ethics that apply. If you are a common squad member you should follow the plans laid out by the leaders even if you personally don't agree with them. This is not to hold members down, but for the sake of forming great leaders and active members. The best way to progress as a ARMA/team player is to try, fail, and re-evaluate. One should not treat a fallback, or defeat, as something overly negative. Sure it sucks to get shot several hundread meters away from any friendlies, but what can you learn from this situation? What can you do in the future to avoid situations like this? Taking your experiences, both the defeats and victories, are important to progress as a team player.

#2 Pay attention to, and don't overly disturb, briefings

We switch between doing briefs ingame or on the map screen depending on the mission. During these briefs it is important that the members listen to, and do not disturb the commanders briefing. Instead you should familiarize yourself with your objectives and role for the coming mission.

Things to not do to under briefings:
Talking over commanding elements.
Placing silly markers while commanders are briefing.

We always have time for questions after the brief is over.

#3 Keep comms clear

Whenever you speak on the radio it should be to inform the rest of the squad/team about important events. Speak with brevity and clarity to avoid clogging up the channels and make the team miss important information.

Don't lone-wolf

Being a lone wolf does not help the team in any way. In fact, you are more likely to get yourself shot in the process.

Stick with your team, communicate, and work together.

And there you have it! Thanks for taking your time to read through our rules/guidelines. I hope it gave you something to reflect on or work towards. See you on the battlefield!
