Here's my recommendations for today's sales.

They may get deeper discounts in coming days and if not you can just grab them at the end of the sale with the current sale price. Only focus on the daily deals until the end of the sale unless something really picks your interest right now or it is already -75% or higher, it usually won't go deeper than that.

Legend of Grimrock revitalizes the old Dungeon Master-genre and pays great homage to the old games keeping a lot of the old mechanics intact but still innovating with fitting new ones. Really good fun and it is fun to solve the puzzles. The second game is still not on so high sale as it is brand new but still good for the price.

If you've ever liked trains then this simulator series is just for you. You don't have to ever play any other game for your train addiction. Has insane amount of content as DLCs if you want just your favorite type of train or whatever. None it is required to play though and you can just have great fun with trains with the base game.

Plague Inc Evolved is a really great time passer. In the game you basically create a disease to wipe out the world from pesky humans. It is basically improve Pandemic that used to be very similar free online game. It is very fun to play for a bit every now and then but the price is still a bit high. It is also available for mobile devices and is cheaper on those.

Papers, Please is an amazingly depressing border control simulator in a dystopian fictional country called Arstotzka. Your job is to let in only people who should be let in and people try to trick and bribe you with many ways to get in. At the same time you need to keep your family fed and healthy by earning enough money. Some times you may have to sacrifice a family member if you are adamant to not take bribes. All in all very fun game to play. Glory to Arstotzka!

Dishonored is really well done stealth FPS game. It is especially fun when you try to do all ghost challenge and limit your murder spree and just go as stealthy as possible. Very good at this price.

Saints Row is a really nice GTA-like game series but when GTA went a bit more serious with the newer games Saints Row went to the other insane side of the pool and just became totally silly. Insanely fun in co-op with a friend.

Anno 2070 is possibly the most fun city builder / production cycle management game I've ever played. Anno series always focuses on building settlements on to island. In 2070 there has been an eco-catastrophe and people are repopulating on islands after polar caps have melted. So it is more near-future themed than historical themed like in other Anno games. The graphical look on the game is also really pretty and amazing. If I was grabbing one game on sale this time this would be the game. Be sure to get the complete edition with the Deep Ocean expansion as it adds a ton of more content to already massive amount of content.

Only big minus is that you have to use Ubisoft's UPlay.

Everything said on above 2070 applies also to 1404. It is a bit older but still very amazing game. Be sure to get the Gold edition with the Venice add-on.

Prison Architect is the star of early access games. Very few other early access games are as well done and as regularly updated as Prison Architect. The game updates every month like clockwork and the developers post amazing videos discussing the new additions and changes every time.

The game itself is a prison management game with a lot of things to do. You build every single piece of the prison yourself just the way you like and run the prison the way you like. All prisoners have their own personalities and might just live nicely in your prison or be total psychopaths murdering fellow inmates and prison guards left and right. Or they might be smuggling in drugs and overdosing on them or just trying to dig an escape tunnel. The game also supports modding and there are many nice mods, maps and prisons available in the Steam Workshop.

Terraria is often described as 2D Minecraft, which doesn't give it justice as it is much more than that. It has just staggering amount of content to go through and is still getting updates even if it is few years old. Highly recommended on this price and grab also few copies for your friends too to play with. It just gets even better that way.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are massively spanning RPG. Original Fallouts used to be isometric RPG but 3 and New Vegas takes the game into first person shooter mode. I was really skeptic about this game but it actually works amazingly well. Both of them are extremely good games where you can sink couple hundred hours and still have places to discover. Be sure to grab complete editions of both with all the DLCs as they add higher level maxes, new content and places to discover.

This is basically remake of the original Isaac game. It is an amazing rogue-like Legend of Zelda-esque game. The theme is quite silly, grim and definitely not for everyone. But if you can look past that it is extremely solid and challenging game that you can sink hundreds of hours to unlock everything. It is a bit new and thus not on that big sale but still at this price I think it is very much worth it.

Kinda lika Isaac, Rogue Legacy is also rogue-like but more from platformer genre. You play as successive generations of heroes and every death allows you to buy new things to your castle and improve your hero with the money and stuff you collect so you become progressively better in your hero generations. Every time you have choice 3 heirs with different abilities and class. Very fun and a lot of discover.

Witcher 2 is also a game I highly recommend for RPG fans. It is massively expansive world with also ungodly hours of gameplay. The fantasy theme is a bit on the darker side with racial discrimination, politics and other more mature subjects but they are very well done done. The combat system is very fluid and quite fun to do. This is a perfect time and price to grab it before the third game comes out next year.

Europa Universalis IV is basically the best grand strategy game out there at the moment. It is immensively massive covering the whole world and practically all the nations, even the tiniest of the tiniest countries from history. And you can play as any of them and carve your own empire into the world. It has massive amounts of content, even with the base game, and the DLCs are highly recommended to add even more stuff into the game. It is not too complicated game really, it is just massive and complex, which does make getting into it a bit difficult but once you are hooked you can kiss goodbye to next 500 hours (or more) of your life.

The DLC is also on sale and I recommend getting only the content adding ones, not the cosmetic. Here's the list of DLCs to get:
Art of War, Wealth of Nations, Pre-order Pack, Digital Extreme Edition Upgrade Pack, Conquest of Paradise and Res Publica

If you like this type of games you might wanna also check out Crusader Kings II. It's on 50% sale at the moment.

State of Decay is one of the dozens of zombie survival games that have been releasing in last couple years. Luckily it is one of the better ones and focuses more on story and single player than too much of multiplayer sillyness. I'm not a big fan of zombie survivals but if I had to pick this would be the best one out of them.

Endless Legend is a Civilization-style fantasy 4X game. It has much better turn-based combat than any of the civ games do and it is in general extremely good game. I have played a lot of it on my own and also on multiplayer and enjoyed it tons. All the races are quite different from each other and you can assimilate minor factions into your major faction to make it even more different. Amplitude, the company doing it, is also extremely community friendly and talks and takes votes and ideas from the community on regular basis and lets them help develop the games they do. They constantly fix and work on the game too and recently released a new small content patch with extra minor faction and other stuff for free. They are also talking about a new expansion being in the works. Highly recommend if you like civ style games.

Democracy 3 might not be a game for everyone. It is a lot of politics and can be very confusing at start to get into. But it is very well made political simulator. Also if you like management games this is basically the ultimate management game when you are managing a whole country. It is quite deep and dealing with rising and existing problems can be really tough task, especially when you need to balance the negatives and positives meanwhile keeping your voters happy. And some times that even doesn't work properly when outside forces like market crash just destroys your economy. But it is very fun to run country to the ground or make it into an utopia once you get into the game. Cautiously recommend to people who really like management games and politics. Warning: May cause relationship breakups, end friendships and make enemies if played with other people with differing political views.

The Banner Saga is a very story driven caravan management and turn-based tactical game. The turn-based combat is quite nice but it lacks a bit of enemy and your unit variation and could use more skills to use also. Also like many newer turn-based combat games the terrain is totally flat and doens't really affect the play that much at all. Strongly recommend still checking it out as the story is really well done and the art, music and theme are just amazing in the game. The story does cut a bit short in the end and there is going to be a sequel to the game at some point. Also if you want to test out the combat part of the game there is a free to play multiplayer version of the game called The Banner Saga: Factions available on Steam too so you can try out it before buying.

I haven't personally played this game but it has been recommended to me on multiple occassions and it seems to be well received on

If you haven't heard of Dark Souls yet I'm not sure where you have been hiding under. It is one of the best action RPGs ever made. Difficulty is very high but it is just so satisfying when you actually down a boss or complete an area. Highly recommend if you like action adventure type games. Important note though is that you REALLY want to have a controller to play it. Keyboard + mouse is decent but it was made for controllers and it definitely shows.

Continuing the action RPG recommendations I think that Darksiders is a brilliant game series. The gameplay and them is literally more darker and grittier Legend of Zelda and play very much like those games. I liked the first game much more than the second game personally but I recommend trying out the both, especially at this price.

Sleeping Dogs is a GTA style game set in Hong Kong where you work as undercover cop in different criminal organizations. I was very surprised how good the game was and how good it looked when it came out. This one is the improved edition that incorporates all the DLC into the package and improves the game even more. Combat in the game is also more martial arts focused than using guns like in GTA games. If you have played some of the recent Batman games think of the combat in those games but in a Hong Kong based GTA. Highly recommend trying out.

Like yesterday's recommendation on the Age of Mythology my recommendation on this game is also that you might have hard time getting into it if you do not have any nostalgia for the game. But if you do this is a great HD version of the game that allows you to play it much better on modern PCs and online against other people. It has pretty nice community to play with too so you should be able to find people to play against fairly easily.

Banished is a superb survival city builder where you start with a handful of people and try to make them survive and start a community. It has trading, seasons and a ton of content to play with although later stages of the game can be a bit bland and it needs some additional goals for late game after you've mastered the survival. Thankfully there is now a mod support for the game and there is already some really great mods available like Colonial charter. Highly recommend both the game and modding it.

Kerbal Space Program is pretty much a sandbox rocket building simulator with strange green men. Like Banished it also has a ton of modding for the game that add a ton of stuff to the game. Also the career mode and other new additions make the game have goals to do instead of just building insane rockets and flying around the space doing space science! It can be difficult to get into at first but when you get your first Mun landings done it is so satisfying. It is also constantly updated with new content.

This newest addition to the Total War series was quite buggy at release but a lot of them have been ironed out. It's still pretty decent game to play but I would also recommend checking out an older one, Total War: Shogun 2. Personally I consider it to be much better game than the newer one.

Tropico series is a fantastic Caribbean dictatorship city builder. It has amazing music and great humor and the building part is also really well done. Campaign on both Tropico 4 and 5 are really good but I consider 5 to have superior campaign. If you haven't played a Tropico game yet I recommend getting 4 first and trying it first. It is almost free at this price and grab the Modern cities DLC also for a lot more buildings and another campaign. If you like 4 and want some new stuff then buy the 5. The new one adds a lot of new great stuff but it is also missing a lot of content that was in 4. In general I think it was still an upgrade from 4 but hopefully it gets more nice DLC and an expansion later on. Recommend both games very much!

Heroes of Might & Magic IV

HOMM IV is quite nice turn-based strategy game. It is definitely not as great as the HOMM III, which is generally thought to be the best in the series but if you are new to the series I highly recommend IV.

If you like hack&slash action adventure games I highly recommend Castlevania series games for it. They have really rich lore and they are really fun to smash through. All these 3 games consist a singly story and at this price I recommend getting all of them and playing through the story. First Lords of Shadow is the best out of them and the second game is really fun as well as you get to play as Dracula yourself. The third game is kinda off shoot of the series. It was handheld title originally and then ported to PC. It is not as good as the other two but still good enough and tells part of the story.

This is the enhanced version of the old Age of Mythology game made to work better on modern PCs. It's a real-time strategy game set in the Greek mythology (+some others too) and it's very well made game. It may be a bit dated these days, even with enhanced edition, but if you played the game when it first came out or you are fan of older style RTS games I highly recommend checking it out.

Civilization: Beyond Earth is really nice addition to the Civilization family but it does have some issues still. Multiplayer needs some more work to work perfectly, especially when playing with more than couple people. It also feels a bit hollow and soulless and probably needs an expansion or two to help with that. I cannot fully recommend it at this price. You might want to wait for deeper discount and more content. Sid Meier's Civilization V: Complete Edition on the other hand is also -75% at the moment and lower base price (sale price in Euro zone 7,49 euros) and if you haven't played it yet I highly highly recommend getting it instead.

Company of Heroes 2 is a great WW2 combat strategy simulator. I do not have much experience on it myself yet but it has been highly praised to me and the price seems right on this sale. Note that the DLC is also on -75% sale and very cheap to grab now as well.

Don't Starve is a really great survival game with amazing art style. It is quite difficult but still very fun to play. Highly recommend grabbing it at this price and also get the Reign of Giants DLC for it, which is also on sale. NOTE: At least in Europe zone getting main game + dlc separately instead of the package is tiny bit cheaper.

FTL might be the best game to come out of kickstarter. It's a rogue-like spaceship simulator. It has content for dozens and dozens of hours because of the random roguelike elements and multiple ships and just the sheer amount of events. Highly recommend at this price.

Sins is a 4X space empire game with real-time strategy combat. It is one of the best real-time 4X space empire games out there and I very much recommend it to fans of the 4X games. All the DLC is also on sale and they add a lot of nice things to the game for very low price so grab them as well!

If you like roguelike games with AMAZING music and some rhythm game elements, this is a game for you.

Another take on Dark Souls style gameplay. Fans of the genre really liked this game as well. It had some performance issues during launch but they have been mostly fixed now and it is a very solid game. Price is still a bit iffy and will probably go lower either on christmas sale or start of the next year. Personally will be waiting for bigger sale.
