We have new titles for some of our ranks!

Friend of Cloud 9:

A friend that participates in in Cloud 9 activities, but is not a member of C9.

Client:

Rank 0. A member that has Cloud 9 set as an affiliation org.

Colleague:

Rank 1. Formerly known as Associate. Members of Cloud 9 that have C9 set as their main org.

Professor:

Rank 2. Formerly Profession Organizer. Our leadership that helps run the org via profession-specific activities, including teaching others how to apply those profession's skills. We have 12 freelancing professions, which gives us 12 professors, although we can have more.

Regent:

Rank 3. Formerly Region Organizer. Our leadership that helps run the org on a regional scale, aligning with the Americas, UK/Europe, and Australia/Asia. Since we have 3 regions, that gives us 3 regents, although we can have more as the activity levels increase.

Dean:

Rank 4. Formerly Leader, our leadership that helps run the org on a global scale. Deans step in and help out with almost anything, when possible, where the help is needed. Each dean helps specific professors and regents.

We place emphasis on Cloud 9 being a collaborative group. Regardless of rank, C9 is all about bringing people together to have fun. These positions exist to give us structure and add momentum. This is accomplished through meeting up, sharing ideas, planning, then having fun events, but we need more members to step up and help. It is a group effort. If you're not a professor, regent, or dean, please feel free to help out. We need it!

We always welcome new members, and our members are welcome to join our leadership. We have several leadership openings. With more members taking the reigns of things, it is easier for all of us and helps propel Cloud 9 into the future.

Cloud 9 News:

Ranks have been updated, affiliate members now have the initial rank and main members the next one up. We also have a new rank for organizers.

Members can now become a Profession Organizer (PO) or Region Organizer (RO).

Our 3 Regions span across the globe:
The Americas
Europe
Southeast Asia / Australia / New Zealand

We are open to having regional and global events.

Our primary activity is Exploration, our ROs help run that with our leaders.

Our secondary activity is Freelancing, which goes to our POs.

Even if you're not a RO or PO, you can still help your region out, and select one primary freelancing profession and multiple secondary freelancing positions for org events.

Our focus is on community building, emphasis on each member regardless of rank as still being another member of the group, and prior to being given any title, we prefer that members demonstrate that they can be valuable members of Cloud 9 by assisting with and even leading the way in activities and group developments, but are also capable of following when designated members are already leading activities.

The survey lets us know your username, your region, and when you can meet in the games, so that we can plan events. It also has information about our professions, regions, organizers, leaders, volunteers, and recruiters.
