Weekly Custom Weapon Discussion: The Hot Air Balloon
Alright, new update, sweet!
...two new game modes, jeez...
Oh! Anywho, here, have a highly-debated weapon, the Hot Air Balloon!

Hot Air Balloon (Pyro Primary)
(+) Looking down and attacking will launch you into the air
(-) 100% increased ammo consumed per second
(-) Cannot carry the intelligence
(-) No airblast

I think the no airblast should be removed and replaced with a move speed penalty. Any weapon that downgrades the airblast(Phlog, Backburner) are taken by the community as w+m1 weapons. And i think the move speed penalty is fair since you'll be flying most of the time. Hope it helps.

Just use Flare jumper to get 312 ammo and fly like bastard, so simple!

The Mobility is gud, but usefull only on a few maps...
add air control could be gud, and a weapon for Air trick... like a secondary hidden weapon like Mantreads or Long range boots
A air-to-floor Flare gun could be gud for enchance this gameplay

It's still too hard to make a "Suprise burn"
That why im not playing this Flamethrower
I use him to discover map or to troll

I thought the original Hot Air Balloon from AW (Fly while firing, 100% more ammo consumed) was quite balanced, as the ammo drain was quite reasonable, and the flight ability was quite balanced as it didn't make players reach RIDICULOUS heights. Its a shame we got a different version.
If I had to rebalance it, it would be:
Fly while firing in the air
(-) +100% ammo consumed while firing
(-) 50% increase in airblast cost

Yeah, the new ridiculous height thing is...eh. It's got really limited movement, too, and you could honestly get where you need to with the new Flare Jumper (which I absolutely love, by the way!)

I do like the airblast cost, honestly. I think that'd work very well!
The flying itself is...oddly restricting. I wish that instead of the choppy flying we have now we had low gravity. You ever played as Pyro with low gravity? It's amazingly fun. I think with the ammo and airblast cost, combined with low G., could probably keep it balanced and bring this weapon back around.

I just think that this weapon can be removed now, we have the jumper flare
New flamethrower for replace it ?
Because, even with low gravity, it will only be a kid weapon where the other would take the jumper flare
