Don't add anything to the Medic Shield, it's good enough that the Medic can self defend from any damage and deal damage with it, and since the Medic will be running straight forward to the enemy because: "OMG SHIELD DAMAGES, RUN INTO THEM, FUCK TEAMMATES, I CAN KILL ENEMIES MYSELF" (At leasta as a Medic main who has played MvM for 100+ hours, well I can confirm this) there is 100% that they are gonna get hit by the shield and adding salt to the wound. You are thinking in a defensive way of the shield, since you don't want people crossing it or passing thru while using it, but now think as support or offensive, Medic can deal damage AND cover his team while they focus on something (like kill an Enginner with Sentry by just turning behind him...like...MvM) also the "BIG" downside which isn't if your team is really good it is not even one, it's that you only have invencibilty infront of you (what you see) but at the cost of doing yourself some damage .-. Adding more stuff to the shield, means adding more downsides (so Medics won't get carried away). The only true way to neutralize the shield is a pyro to run straight forward to the shield and kill the medic, since fire can cross it, but there are teammates that can defend you. The stats I suggested are better since it makes the medic not so OP and makes him to be more considerate while using it and not running straight forward to danger

Example: Kritz since does not give invunerability or self defense your requiere your teammate for defending, so you need to know how to use it before seeing an enemy. The stock Medi Gun Invencibility but with airblast vulnerability, it lasts 8 secs for destroying/killing things or for escapes.

I understand well what you tried to tell me, the ignite was just an rxemple I was more interested by the airblast effect, ennemies xont get hurt but simply pushed back a bit
But for me the rasputins should be "free uber type"
It would save team might from surprise sentry/heavy behind corner
Or vaccinator stack type
The shield duration dont suit a pvp fight
Too short for push/cap enougth, too long for surprise ennemies

Im absolutly not for a killer-use of it, just it could help to go forward, take back an area
