Descent Into Delirium - a beta overhaul mod that I've been working on for a while!
First thing's first - this mod is a HUGE WIP! Here's the mod, and a full list of changes[pastebin.com] (I hope!)

Mods like PBD have always been a huge interest of mine - whilst the base game is an amazing, punishing hellhole, I've always loved mods that take the base game and crank everything up to 11. However, I like taking unique spins on things, using mechanics not overly seen - does anyone ever remember the Horror effect?

Here's where this mod comes in; most enemies do more stress damage, and inflict Horror (a resistable stress DoT). However! There's many ways to now address stress, mainly through killing corpses/critting/some moves like Intimidate. So your stress will go up and down, fluctuating and warping all throughout the dungeon.

And THAT is what this mod is about; it's all too easy to go into a dungeon and roflstomp your way through it, coming out laughing and wailing with 170 stress and on Death's Door. What if the game punished you to hell unless you do something about it? What if you had to address these issues that plague your heroes' minds and bodies?

A general-ish list of changes (go to the pastebin at the top for a more comprehensive list):

  • DoTs have been buffed in their duration

  • More moves do slight stress healing

  • Some "useless" moves have been revamped and remade - check them before you equip them!

    - These include Plague Grenade, Vulnerability Hex, Weakening Curse, Flashbang, Come Hither, Hook and Slice, Revenge, and many more!

  • Characters have a chance to find more loot!

  • Gold stack size is now changed by basically every class

  • Stress dealing enemies tend to inflict Horror now!

  • Enemies tend to heal more often!

  • Boss fights are eventually all going to get redone; currently, only the Necromancer fight's been reworked.
Bear in mind that this mod is NOWHERE NEAR finished! It's still very much in beta, and I'm working on adding more features and ways to drain your recruits from their morale...
