I just saw a photo of the old facepunch in a youtube..
Then I remembered the glorious days of fakepunch.
I literally had an 'American psycho business card' moment when I discovered.. the website is still up.

I'm now finding old emails from 2009, of people reporting each other posts and whatnot.
It must be this way my parents felt, to outlive the fire they once warmed themselves against.
