Miss those days. I used to run sYN back then and host 10k servers nearly every day. Some of my favourite matches were with {MDS} and {NaW}. I've managed to preserve my original Fallout Tactics installation since 2001, intact with custom maps and zar files... also with 500+ screenshots I took to remind me of all the insanity. I moved onto playing Unreal 2 XMP for a while... a golden nugget of a game, but nothing really matched the community of FOT. Puerile but very fond memories. Are there games with smallish sized communities anymore? That was definitely part of its charm. It was fun to stumble here and reminisce. Hope you're all enjoying The Outer Worlds :)

Jake been a hell of a longtime dude, still remember your green and white colors from your days with SH (i think it was SH) on GSA. Wish i could track down SS GenSteel, Lazarus, MDS EL-DIABLO, MDS SKEETA, HpA Pyschopath, Poppa Prophecy, TRW Kiss my ass, RXJ Sinnistar and so many more dudes i lost track of over the years. Those were grand days, lived and breathed the clan vs clan warfare we had going on for years on gsa, one of the most competitive and fun communites i ever played in. There will never be another time like that. Great memories for sure. Props to all the legends of FOT.

I was Goku om gayspy arcade. We had a small group on gameranger playing tactics back around 2012-14 (lasted about 2 years).
Aww good old Tactics. I was just getting out of dipers during the original. Now I am old :( HAHA!

Hey gang, being a relic of the old gamespy fot community i felt obligated to post this following message for you all.

The legendary player, SH4D aka Emir (if you played Multi during the early gamespy years you will remember him) has been hard at work for years on a game strikingly reminiscent of our most beloved, Fallout Tactics.
It is called ALMOST ALIVE, and i can't urge you all enough to go and buy a copy on steam and jump in and support it, it just released July 17th 2018. I have just gotten started getting my feet wet in it and i can honestly say i'll be spending many hours with it.
Check it out guys you will not be dissapointed! And great work SH4D! I love

your art and animations!

Don't know how many people still play this game but if anyone wants to play multiplayer just let me know. I don't know if the CD version of Fallout and the steam version are comaptible like that. I just picked up this game about 2 weeks ago. Another thing I should probably add is, i'm not sure about setting up a multiplayer game, because I heard people have a lot of trouble with it.

I've been wanting to play this game online for years but because of where I live most people have never played Fallout 1 or 2 let along Tactics so I've had no opportunities of playing it.

Many people having MP games? Used to be a die-hard FOT MP'er back in the day. Imagine there probably isn't enough people around to get decent 10k (the most popular gametype back then) games, but even the WW2 mod was awesome to play 1v1.

Hello everybody,

I played FoT multiplayer way way back when it first came out. For anyone who didn't get that opportunity, it is a great game online with the right rules and points settings. There still hasn't been an online RTS made quite like this one. The gameplay is unique and enjoyable. I do pop on Gameranger every once in awhile and my preference is 2k x 6 man with no chems allowed, usually kept it at 1 BG per squad (I don't remember all the rules we used).

I'd be interested not only in playing a round or two but maybe finding a way for more players who are interested to connect instead of just buying the game, beating single player and then finding out the game's too dead to try out online. Please message me if you're interested, this game can be a lot of fun with lots of people.
