I find Square Enix's use of launchers for the Final Fantasy game's incredibly inconsistent. With the XIII series you can set it and forget it (the best implementation IMO, with III and IV you have no choice but to use the mouse to start the games (not Big Picture friendly), with 7 and 8 you also can't start the game with a gamepad (not to mention you need to hit X to get past the key config screen... any way to mod that out while were on the subject?).

V is the only game I am aware of atm that actually allows you to hit the Start button on a 360 controller to run the game.

Lastly, they all stay running in the background after you exit the game unless you choose the force quit option from the overlay. Not great for keeping accurate track of your hours played, etc, if you are still technically in game after you quit.

I know this is more of a technical request than a content mod request... and I am actually mildly inclined towards these types of things myself, so if there is any interest in this, or any knowledge on how one would begin to alter the way the games associate with their launchers, I would love to get the discussion started in that direction. I've been incredibly interested in playing the whole series in order on my Big Picture set up, and this is really the only hurdle to making the experience seamless.
