Sprites MOD?
If someone *SUPPOSEDLY* remake the sprites, what you guys would prefer between those tree styles?

Uhm...tbh, I like all

Same here. I would probably say I prefer A, since it looks higher detail and the head is in scale

1 would look best but from what I understand some sprites in game like vendors and such can't be replaced right now with the current way you mod the game.. Some sprites and tiles are locked behind file containers that we can't get into now.. So if sprites are remade they should look similar to the orignal so it doesn't clash with the other sprites we can't replace.. The sprites look great though :)

As far as I know, all character sprites can be modded, including all NPC's
but yeah, it makes no sense if someone doesn't mod ALL characters. for example just the main cast.

Yeah all the sprites can be modded aside from the sprites you see when purchasing items within the stores.

I think the most fitting style would be B as far as proportions goes. Nice work with all of them though!

Ah I get what you mean now for some reason i thought it was also vendors and other things could not be modded sorry..

Oh no, you are absolutely right. I must not have read your message where you said the same thing. Vendors is what I meant as well.

now I'm comfuse, what are you guys talking about?
I can confirme the vendor NPCs like the fat guy in blue can be modded
but it did be great if someone could open the .bin files, so we can mod the full game

The main/playable character sprites while at the vendors cannot be modded. Sorry, I admit after re-reading, it wasn't clear :P

yep,now we are clear, sorry too :v

I personally think that's a minor nuisance though

Also, the bin file can be modded. It is a standard GBA (J) rom. There is a celes scene uncensorship guide here in the forums which uses a standard gba IPS patch to patch the scene back in.

I forgot that lol
there is a bunch of other .bin files in the obb, they contain the UI, city/dungeon maps, etc.
while the violence patch is not what I meant, it may paint the right direction to unlock the rest of the game.. I hope :v
I'm gonna check it further

Very cool how after two years of the game being out, you are still planning to move forward with modding work!

I had the same problem. I love them all. The first one reminds me of Chrono Trigger, which is amazing, the second reminds me of an updated FFVI look, which is also amazing and the third looks a bit more modernized, like something you see out of a customized RPG Game Maker thread, which is also cool.

However, if I had to pick...A is my favorite. It looks considerably more different, and reminds me of CT. xD However, B might fit better with the world tilesheet as it is now, but yea...definitely between A and B!
