Scaled PSX-like Battle UI - Updated! Now Compatible with Memoria!
FINALLY.

Been working on this for a while. Been wracking my brain, trying to figure out how to get it to work.

Getting the Ability and Item scrolling panels has been a nightmare to get to work. Every time i'd try a different way to scale them, it would break the clip and abilitys/items would start disappearing as you scrolled down the list, making it unplayable in my eyes.

But...

Finally I got it working!

There are a couple little things to note:

  • The very first time you go into battle, the pointer will be a bit bugged out. This goes away.

  • The Pause menu darkening of the screen is kinda bugged. its just a smaller dark box. Easilly ignorable.

Now working for:

  • Alternate Fantasy

  • Alternate Fantasy And HD Backgrounds +NPCs

  • Vanilla

Updates:

------

  • Memoria Compatibility!
  • 4k resolution bugs. Lemme know if it doesn't fix as I dont have a 4k monitor.
  • This should also fix the minor bugs that used to happen where pieces of the UI wouldnt move for some reason.
  • Note that it may still happen if the speed booster is on when going into battle for the first time after you open the game.

Past Updates:

  • PSX-like Command Panel - ScreenShots [imgur.com]
  • Battle Animation Speed - Slightly faster to improve choppiness
  • BattleSwirl Animation - Faster/Shorter
  • Random Encounter Rate - Closer to PSX version of game. (PC's Encounter rate is drastically smaller.)
  • Fix for the items/ability's lists not appearing in the right spot when opening the panels in battle
  • Fix for Damage Number Sizes - Scale of UI also affected them, and they were too small, made them around the same size as they are normlly.

The Download link, and Notes have been updated.

As well as a short tutorial is coming for how to use the Config, but its pretty easy to figure out if you read the instuctions in the readme and config file itself.

    This update allows you to:
    • On the fly, during battle, change the Scale of the UI to you're liking.
    • Also fixed the problems people were having with the placement or UI components while playing with different resolutions.
    • All of the Settings and improvements I've made are all configurable in the included Config file. eg: Turn On/Off Frag's HD Mod, adjust Random Encounter Rate, Scale UI, etc...

Note that for certain setttings you must either go into battle, or leave a field(basically just go to another scene) for it to update.

Also remember to change the name of the CSharp file to whatever you need. There are only 2 of them now, Vanilla and Trilititi's Alternate Fantasy. Both work with Frag's HD mod.

Just modify the settings in the Config file to your preference.

    :)

Please Note!

If switching between AF/HD and Memoria I recommend using a separate Save file. Using Memoria with AF or HD save files can scramble save data so it wont load the right values.

Now Compatible with Albeoris's Memoria!

Also completely rewrote how it moves UI Components when scaling. It Should work a lot more consistantly at different resolutions, and aspect ratios.

  • This should also fix the 4k resolution bugs. Lemme know if it doesn't as I dont have a 4k monitor.

Cleyra Twister bug doesnt happen with Memoria for some reason... Not sure what that could mean, but i'll keep looking into it.

Memoria Verison Download is an optional file on Nexus Mods. Follow the Download link in the main post.

Enjoy! :)

Make sure you Change the name of the CSharp file you're using back to "Assembly_CSharp.dll" or it wont work.
