Unlike FFVI, it seems like FFV doesn't have the Japanese scripts included within the game data. So to mod it, we need to extract the mobile version's data and get its Japanese equivalent of msg_tv0.dat, msg0.dat, and system_message.dat.

I still don't know how to extract the obb file though. And I don't have the iOS version's .bin file either. I need some help.

You don't really need to swap the texture. The state of her diving suit is just a 0 or 1. If you edit that offset in the game memory (or in the save file), you'll get what you want. FFXED also has that option, IIRC.

That's not something you need a mod for. Cheating the game with CheatEngine or a save editor software is what you need.

It's not gonna be something easy.

I hope we'll get a standalone PS button mod and doesn't need that UnX mod.

open taskmanager and see if the patcher is running in background. It supposes to take a lot of CPU resource while patching. It takes around 2-3 minutes to rebuild main.obb.

If your main.obb is smaller than 700 MB, it probably corrupted. restore your backup and try to apply the patch again. this time don't interrupt it while it's still running in background.

Nothing wrong with your tga file settings except for the file size. It's just 5.3 kb while the original file (and most of the other monster sprites) is 64 kb.

I open your file in Photoshop and re-save the file without changing anything and it's 64 kb, and it works just fine in the game.

maybe your image editor software compressed the file.
