Forget Unity, forget Unreal, forget Gamemaker and all of the other game engines out there. Godot is free and open sourced, and it's extremely powerful. The community is wonderful and honestly I'm a huge simp for python-like languages. I highly recommend you checking this out!

Hello there. Just checking out Godot 2.1.4 using Ubuntu. Im more on the 3D modeling end of things but game design was what I had hoped to continue doing in college. Guess Ill learn the hard way. ;)
