Indeed Trunk, it is the absolute best open source engine available :D It just needs more hands and to mature a bit more :D

just got my hands on the GRIT SVN repo. im a first time game developer with alot of ideas, and out of all the open sourced engines ive found, GRIT seems to be the best, right next to the Source Engine. really looking forward to pushing my visions out onto GRIT :D
