Moderator Application: Wallace
Moderator

WhatsApp is mandatory, for we use it to communicate with other staff. -
Are you able to use it?: I use WhatsApp frequently myself, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Steam ID: Steam_0:1:52533426

Ingame Name?: Royal Guard Wallace

Age? (Must be at least 14 to apply): Check. 17

You have to be active in our group and Servers BEFORE/AFTER your App has been accepted. How long have you been in the community and do you comply with this requirement ?: Only a number of days, yet I'm sure to be active going forward.

You should be mature and be able to have fun at the same time. Do you think you are capable of this?: Certainly, otherwise being on a RP server, serious or otherwise, wouldn't exactly be entertaining.

You must have a mic and be able to use it Do you understand?: Yes, I do and will be upgrading mics soon enough. And yes, I undersstand?

Do you have Previous SWRP Roleplay experience?: Yes, I do. Great fun, it is.

You must know English so that other people can understand you. Do you know and speak English?: I have tight grip on the language and am fluent.

Steam Name: Wallace; Belgium Waffles

How long have you been registered on steam?: 4 years; since the 15th of June

What country do you live in?: Belgium

How long are you on our servers for? (Daily): 4+ daily, or about as much.

What skills do you feel you have that will help the community?: My most prominent skill that would deem most moderator-worthy, difussion of situation when things become tense. In general, it would be my skill in roleplay and my knack for uncommon sense (formerly known as common sense).

Do you have any experience as an Administrator/Moderator before?: I have yet to have my first place as moderator on a Garry's Mod server, yet on other games (MC, Starvound) I've had a number of such positions.

Do you know any of our current staff members?: Yes, but 1.

If Yes, please tell us their names.: Dolphin aka. Emperor Palpatine

Can you speak English fluently?: Very much so.

Do you have a microphone?: Yes. Has been asked already.

Why should you be a staff member? (Please write an elaborate paragraph):
Quite literally 'moderating' is something I seem to be quite good at, although diffusing situations is far above on the list of qualities to make a staff member. Other than that, my rather impartialness in most cases would give me a trump card above others, together with my abundance of apathy. Although that is also clear to be a possible weakness, if seen in the correct light. I think that I can be a clear example to others in many a circustance and therefore would deem myself ready for a staff position. More directly server-related, I think my friendly demeanor -although still serious most of the time- wouldn't be one to scare off newer players or those that have qualms and would then not be bothered coming to me with there issues, be it mundane or otherwise.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know.: As I live in Belgium, my timezone is GMT+1, however my pattern of being awake is less than regular as I am not bound by the time of my school, seeing as I do not currently go to school.

STOP HERE IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR OPERATOR

Please answer these questions to the best of your ability as who you are. These questions are designed for you to portray an example of yourself so being honest is key. Dishonesty can EASILY lead to demotion so just be yourself.

=======================================================
Question 1: In at least 10 words, describe your personality (TRAITS)
To sum them up rapidly: Friendly in demeanor, apathetic, serious, roleplay-orientated, and somewhat of a neat-freak when it comes to grammar and the likes (although usually only applying those standards to myself).

=======================================================
Question 2: What do you personally feel makes you stand out above the other applicants who have applied and have been either accepted or declined?
Oddly enough this is the question I usually see most universality on. Therefor, my odd one out, my previously stated trump card: My apathy. In most cases this comes high above on the list of usuable traits, be it for mediating or lack of anger in situations that tend to only breed annoyance.

=======================================================
Question 3: If you were in a situation where one of our higher ranking staff personally dislikes you and spreads his/her feelings to other players or staff. How would you deal with the situation?
My reaction would be the same to those of same ranking and lower as well. I would simply ask them what it is they are displeased about when it came to me. If they are not willing to say, so be it. If they are, there is a fair chance they have a rightful complaint personality-wise, yet if it is something situational, I'll try and iron it out, them willing.

=======================================================
Question 4: A staff member has been requested to ban one of your friends for rule violations. After thorough investigation, the staff team has concluded that your friend did indeed violate rules. After hearing that the ban hammer is coming his way, he begs for you to convince the staff team to reconsider the decision. What do you do in this situation?
Seeing as staff has already gone over it a second time, there is little confussion to be had -especially if I know the specifics-. Chances are I won't do anything outside of checking what happened with the one who banned him or another staff close to the case. After all has been said and done, and I don't have my qualms -on objective note- with how it has been dealt, sentencing or other, I will let it be.
