So, calling someone a shill is an ad hominem because you're attacking their motives for doing a good deed. Trying to win your argument that nobody should take free stuff from epic because, yanno, their mind control lasers which, woooo, make you buy games from them, and that anybody who tells you to take free games from them is a shill.
Calling someone an idiot, because you think they're an idiot, that's not an ad hominem. Unless it's aimed at undermining arguments being made. Making a joke about someone's mum, especially one which clearly isn't a comment about your genuine impressions of anyone in their family, and was aimed at making light, that's not, either.
I was making a positive post for the community here. Free games! You were pooping on it for no reason. Anyway, you got your reaction and an education. The toofers are on me!
I said "epig is trash." and you answered "Your mom is trash.". I did not talk about you, but you had no problems attacking me. I called you a shill for that, what else are you expecting me to think? I say X corporation is bad, and you insult my mom.
What are you talking about "undermining a corporation"? As I said, this is a marketing campaign, they want people to get their free games.
So calling me a shill for ... telling people how to undermine a corporation. When did I say i wanted anyone to pay for anything?. I said the opposite.
Remnant From the Ashes is a great game, though too hard for some on anything other than the lower difficulties. Similarly Troy: Total War, for free, on release day ... a gift.
Be happy, free stuff!!!
*waits for 12 year old's take on cutting comeback*
Also: great games, for free, which the corporation is paying for. I know it's not Gaben, but I promise not to tell you're corporate cheating on him.
