Real Tiny Earth game has been running since 21st of September 2016. 7 years and counting... :aztec_icon: These games really aren't for the ones who are looking for quick games.

I downloaded the app on my Mac, but it does not work. It gets opened by "Heart of Iron III" and does not ask me a token or anything. What's the problem?
CS_frankenbite 22 Jun, 2021 @ 11:26am
Many many games open and looking for players right now on our discord: https://discord.gg/nAaW2d7

Two of our regulars are leaving and they left behind a bunch of in-progress games. Low player count, high player count, some are very early into the game and some are quite late into the game. lots of variety.

Hey your Domain-Name just expired! :D You may fix this quickly.
Laz 16 Dec, 2015 @ 1:08pm
Every time I write a comment in a game room on the GMR website it just says "sending..." and nothing mroe happens, then when I reload the page the comment has been posted. A bit annoying. This is on Firefox.

Other than that, great service, keep it up and please try to upgrade the performance of the site. If you need more money for a better server then put up a banner that says so.. I might be able to chip in a bit more (already upgraded to unlimited).

Thanks for making this service!
Ert 24 Jun, 2015 @ 1:31am
Hey guys... Both your site and your client have almost always a very slow connection. And we often have to revert our turns back because when a player opens its turn he sees next player's password screen. It becomes annoying when it happens too often. It takes away the pleasure. Please upgrade your servers if necessary to solve connection/speed issues and fix this bug. Your fans and supporters are looking forward for your attention.
Ert 17 Jun, 2015 @ 6:02am
I am a fan and supporter of you. I'd be happy if you can add an option to rename games after they are started and a (more convenient) solution for fixing bloating save file bug (include a patch into MBR client maybe?). Thank you for everything and please keep up this service. Without you we could not play this awesome game.
Machin Ator 26 Mar, 2015 @ 9:15pm
So amazing, makes Civ V actually playable on a large scale with human opponents. Thanks for the great service!
Kepos 17 Jan, 2015 @ 4:27pm
Well, the current operational state of GMR is more then bad. Website is awful slow during GMT 10pm till 6am. The GMR tool looses the player ID and games every now and then. Games couldn't be downloaded or failed to upload. Guys, it is getting worse then better...what is the problem about?
SaschaGoto 22 Nov, 2014 @ 7:50am
GMR has been down for 8 hours now. Must be a serious problem.

I cannot access the multiplayer robot either via site or desktop app. Is there a maintenance going on?

Hi friends.. Plz do join or invite for civ5 mp games :)
Stick o' Butter 29 Jul, 2014 @ 4:32pm
Hey if GMR can convert single player files, can't it convert them to multiplayer format? That way we dont have to restart the game every time we want to take a turn, just play the scenario like a normal game.
Chuck Stone 11 Jul, 2014 @ 10:12pm
I want to play by email. camon
Krafty 4 Jul, 2014 @ 4:57pm

Is it possible to setup a GMR game using the "Yet (not) Another Earth Map" mods ?
I tried and get an error that the file is not compatible with GMR.
SucKing 19 Jul, 2013 @ 4:25am
I cannot install the desktop app, as it installs it crashes and gives me http://pastebin.com/TuhRzZcK Windows 8 could be causing issues maybe?
carde 18 Jul, 2013 @ 11:26am
The website isn't working for me. I'm having difficulty connecting to it.
Deadonstick 10 Jun, 2013 @ 12:27pm
GUI-bound mods still don't seem to be working (for example InfoAddict). Also I'm getting C++ Runtime errors requesting to terminate in an unusual way when I loaded the "Beyond the Future" mod.
NullMaster 30 Jul, 2012 @ 8:35am
Thanks for the heads up antony, we'll look into it and see what we can do :)
antony_lee 26 Jul, 2012 @ 7:39am
Just a note, Kaspersky recognize this program is a threat ...
they claim that it has hidden data sending ... XD
NullMaster 22 Jun, 2012 @ 1:17pm
Hey guys sorry about all that mess the last two days. It turns out we had a bug that would correct most save files submitted. We've since fixed the bug and all is well going forward.

If any of you have a game that is currently "un-loadable" just have the game's host revert the last turn and you should be good to go!
Mysterio 21 Jun, 2012 @ 10:46am
I left a message for the GMR team on their Facebook page detailing that, ever since the desktop client was updated last night/early this morning, my GMR save files in 5 games I'm in have been causing Civ V to crash with a runtime error while the game is trying to load the save.

At least 3-4 other players in these same games are reporting the same issue.
Freudian Slut 21 Jun, 2012 @ 7:00am
Update: My friend has now run into the same error in a non GnK game "CBvAK"
Freudian Slut 20 Jun, 2012 @ 12:50pm
"Runtimetest1" sorry
Freudian Slut 20 Jun, 2012 @ 12:49pm
"BK New" was the first, and since then we've tried a number of different settings to try to narrow it down- "test1", "test2", and "Runtimetest" Of these we only still have BK New and Runtimetest1 still as active games, surrendering out of the other two.
NullMaster 20 Jun, 2012 @ 12:42pm
Hey Fenrir, could you tell me the name of one of these games you're attempting with G&K? I'll take a look at how GMR is handling the save files, perhaps there's something I can fix!
Freudian Slut 19 Jun, 2012 @ 9:31pm
My friend and I are encountering a bug which seems to be specific to GnK when running through GMR. We can play single player and old Civ GMR games fine, but when we attempt to load a turn in GnK GNR, we get a C++ runtime library error in ...common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\CivilizationV_DX11.exe we can both do initial game creation and submission through GMR fine, but when the turn is passed to the other and they attempt to load the save this error pops up and crashes Civ. I have attempted it in both Direct X modes and while DX11 gives this error, DX9 still crashes, it just doesn't give a descriptive error. I also tried disabling DLC civs to see if that made a difference, to no avail.
NullMaster 12 Jun, 2012 @ 3:45pm
Thanks Fenrir, we'll definitely post here if we need additional help when it comes out :)
Freudian Slut 11 Jun, 2012 @ 12:39pm
If G&K causes the need for a second client or client toggle, I'm sure some nerds could be scrounged up for beta testing if you're looking for extra eyes/hands. :)
NullMaster 8 Jun, 2012 @ 3:04pm
Brian and I have both pre-ordered G&K and will be staying up to start testing it with GMR the moment it's released.
NullMaster 8 Jun, 2012 @ 3:03pm
@Mysterio: We have no way of knowing yet whether G&K will cause problems for GMR, however I can't believe that existing vanilla CiV games won't load in G&K. I don't think Firaxis would be that incompetent. So I'm inclined to believe that existing GMR games built on vanilla CiV will still work fine after G&K. However I'm not sure if newly created G&K games will work with GMR.
Mysterio 8 Jun, 2012 @ 9:57am
I wonder if vanilla saves will work with Gods & Kings. If not, then that's 6 GMR games down the drain. Even if they do, will GMR games formed with vanilla still work with G&K?
NullMaster 11 May, 2012 @ 8:51am
Our maintenance went great and we're running smoothly now. Please let me know if anyone experiences any issues. Thanks! :)
NullMaster 10 May, 2012 @ 3:15pm
Hey everyone just a heads up that GMR will be offline for about 1 hour tonight starting at 12:00am MDT (11pm PDT, 2am EDT, 6am GMT). We're switching hosting providers as our current one has become unresponsive. We expect no data loss during the process, however the website and the desktop app will be unavailable during this time.

We hope that this doesn't seriously interfere with anyone's Civ needs. Thank you all for your continued support and patience as we make GMR into an excellent service for CiV players everywhere! :)
antony_lee 5 May, 2012 @ 6:50am
it would be much better if civ load game could be faster lol
Shimshai 4 May, 2012 @ 2:20pm
I've only been using GMR for a few days now, but I've been loving it so far. It's such a smooth and simple experience. Now, if you can find a way to fix the real-time multiplayer, I am forever in your debt!
antony_lee 1 May, 2012 @ 4:49am
this is great, much better than the realtime game, which is bad because of the response and double move (move last move first) issues.
NullMaster 30 Apr, 2012 @ 8:00pm
Oh and that's strange that you're still getting emails about comments after un-checking that option in the Control Panel. I'll look into it and put out a fix.
NullMaster 30 Apr, 2012 @ 7:59pm
@InsaneTrollLogic: Thanks for the feedback! I actually don't believe that we've implemented deleting inactive games after 30 days. However players are always free to leave a game at anytime, or if you've created a game that you don't intend to start you can cancel it.
InsaneTrollLogic 29 Apr, 2012 @ 6:20pm
Some things ive noticed. Games not deleting after 30 inactive days. I tried to set it so comments didnt get emailed to me but they still are. I find it just as easy to check for comments and like to keep my email tidy. This is a great thing you guys created. Thank you.
banman39 20 Apr, 2012 @ 11:27am
I think it would be helpful for at least the host to have the ability to remove a player who is not participating ... recently I was part of a game that died because one player never submitted their turn. In the end, it seems that the player had technical issues and also was unable to surrender the game themselves (problems with the Steam login).
