Game crashes on load
I'm trying to get a GMR game started, but when I load the save file I downloaded as a hotseat game, Civ5 immediately crashes.

The game in question is http://multiplayerrobot.com/Game#14169

I'm running Civ5 on Linux, so it's probably largely untested waters. There is some output from Steam when the game crashes in the terminal, but it's largely uninteresting. I can post it if it would be useful.

Sorry for the trouble! There was some invalid data in the save file. I believe I've got it fixed so it should work now. However, this could have been the result of a bug with save file modification. If it happens again, let us know and we'll get it figured out.

Thanks for the help! We were able to use the saves and play a round. However, now it says it's my turn, and I can load up the game in Civ5, but it just says "Waiting for players", and I can't make any moves. It seems like I should be able to make moves. My Warrior's move UI looks like the "current turn" movement UI.

Is this another corruption? Or are our games just not working right? Neither of us are using the official client since we are both on Linux, if that matters. I have been downloading things from the web UI.

Just for comparison, I am also a linux user with a game going (http://multiplayerrobot.com/Game#14068), and after two turns in, I haven't heard any complaints from the other players yet. If I have problems in the future, maybe we could compare notes to see if your issue is reproducible.

Maybe somewhat related, but I have also had a problem when starting this game[multiplayerrobot.com] as a host, with other windows users. I'm able to start the game and play my first turn, submit file to GMR via web, but next player gets this error[tinypic.com].

Started a new game. My turn went fine. First non-me player got a crash. It sounds to me like a corrupted save, but the one I uploaded works fine. I wonder what causes these corruptions?

The new game is http://multiplayerrobot.com/Game#14431

A turn was reverted and attempted again with 14431, still crashes for me when I select the save.

To clarify, I reverted the first turn of the game, so I had to make a new hotseat save file, make my first turn, and upload it again.
I had problems with this game, too. It would not load.

I am having trouble with game14283. Can someone please look at this? It only seems to be affecting me. I skipped the last 5 turns to keep the game going. My other gmr game is good.

Thus just happened on our game (14994) as well. We have a mixture of Windows, Linux and Mac players. We reverted several turns back to the Linux player who reports a good turn. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

Hello Tazzik,
has this issue been already been fixed ?
It occurs, when a Linux client does it's first move.
Regards
Alexander
