"Waiting for other players" Bug plus strange turn skip
Earlier today it became my turn in the linked game but I could not take my turn as the "next turn" button in the game said "waiting for other players" (it listed two players in my game it said needed to take their turns). I reverted the game and the previous player took their turn, then I got an alert saying it was my turn but not long after, the player after me got an alert saying it was their turn and then I got an email saying I had been skipped.

EDIT: Then I got an email with this notification:

"The turn timer has been disabled in your game

This happened because everyone but one player got skipped. This would have caused the Civ V to get stuck on that player in-game. To keep this from happening, the turn timer is now off, and all skipped turns in the current streak have been reverted."

On the game, it still shows that two players other than me haven't ever been skipped (and I was only skipped because of the bug) so it's not clear given the explanation in the email why the turn timer stopped (and no turns appear to have been reverted either).

EDIT2: I've gotten the above email twice now. Boy, GMR really seems to be blowing up, whatever this bug is.

I just experienced a similar thing. I got an e-mail for one of my games, saying that I have been skipped. It is obviously a mistake as I just played recently (11:15PM GMT+1). Exaclty 45 min later, the next player is shown as skipped (th turn timer was at least 24 hrs), then the next player is skipped in 0 min, then the next player played his turn in 11 min, next player isskipped immediately (0 min).

Now it is my turn and now I got the same e-mail as the OP above, saying that the turn timer is disabled. It looks like I got the turn timer disabled message for 3 games so far.

I am waiting and not playing my turn as apparently there is some issue w/ timer and the other players should not have been skipped.

EDIT: Interesting, now the turn timer is off and I did not play my turn but still I got skipped... Something strange going on w/ turn timers.

EDIT2: The game link is http://multiplayerrobot.com/Game#8371

We had a similar issue with our game (http://multiplayerrobot.com/Game#11437).

In our situation, I noticed after the site resumed that the "current" turn was less than the 1d turn timer, so monitored the game (and notified the player). They got skipped, then the next 2 players were skipped within the hour. I was able to revert the game to the player BEFORE the one who's turn it was when the site went down and everything seems to be running fine. I reverted after removing the timer.

On a related issue, might there be a way to adjust/remove the "turns skipped' value for turns that were reverted? We have several players now that much closer to our skip limit. We can (and will likley) increase the skip limit when we re-add a turn timer, but that's a work around that benefits everyone else.

Sorry about that guys. The turn timer had kind of run away from us that morning due to a bug in some recent changes we had made. It should be behaving properly now. If you need to just revert those turns incorrectly skipped and you should be good to go.
