Getting the next player's turn and how this can be prevented
When I get turn notification twice, I think I always get the turn of the player after me.

I believe this happens when:

you submit your turn through the desktop client,

even if the submittal was successful, somehow desktop client thinks it is not (this is much more common when the GMR server is performing slower than usual)

and asks the user if he/she wants to retry and the user says "yes" to retry, resulting in some sort of a double submittal. The player who downloads the save will see that the game prompts for the next player's password instead of his/her. At this point, there is no option but to revert the turn.

What I do to prevent the double submittal is:

the desktop clients says save submittal has failed and asks if I want to retry,

I do not give an answer yet, I go to GMR site, check the game in question (refresh page if necessary),

see if my turn can be seen in the "recent turns" tab,

if I see it, then I say "no" to retry (as everything is actually fine, GMR desktop is just giving a "false alarm"), if I do not, then I say "yes" to retry.

The side effect of this workaround is, your save file will not be renamed and moved to the GMR Archive folder automatically.

Unfortunately when GMR site is really slow, the workaround is also really slow and in some cases you may not even be able to get to the game page...

This seems to happen quite too often with us when using the desktop client. If the issue here is double submit, it clearly is a server side error. Is there no server side checks to prevent this?

Seems like the GMR server is slow today, so I thought it would be a good idea to bump this thread as the above detailed issue can happen often during such times.
