GMR Client, mostly failed retries [Solved]
I have not been having much luck with the GMR client submitting turns. I use the client to know when its my turn, and download the files but then i upload them on the website. The failure rate when using the GMR client I'd have to guess at above 70%.

Is it just me? is there some tweaking I can do? When I use the website, it is pretty slow, maybe the timeout setting can be increased?

When it does fail, and I click on NO to retry, it often still submits my turn but then when the next person goes to play, it often has an issue, either waiting for players, or it will show as my turn, or even there won't be a download file.

this was my last error in the debug log
System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentDownloadException: Downloading http://multiplayerrobot.com/ClientDeploy/GmrClient.application did not succeed. ---> System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() at System.Deployment.Application.SystemNetDownloader.DownloadSingleFile(DownloadQueueItem next) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Deployment.Application.SystemNetDownloader.DownloadSingleFile(DownloadQueueItem next) at System.Deployment.Application.SystemNetDownloader.DownloadAllFiles() at System.Deployment.Application.FileDownloader.Download(SubscriptionState subState) at System.Deployment.Application.DownloadManager.DownloadManifestAsRawFile(Uri& sourceUri, String targetPath, IDownloadNotification notification, DownloadOptions options, ServerInformation& serverInformation) at System.Deployment.Application.DownloadManager.DownloadManifest(Uri& sourceUri, String targetPath, IDownloadNotification notification, DownloadOptions options, ManifestType manifestType, ServerInformation& serverInformation) at System.Deployment.Application.DownloadManager.DownloadDeploymentManifestDirect(SubscriptionStore subStore, Uri& sourceUri, TempFile& tempFile, IDownloadNotification notification, DownloadOptions options, ServerInformation& serverInformation) at System.Deployment.Application.DownloadManager.DownloadDeploymentManifest(SubscriptionStore subStore, Uri& sourceUri, TempFile& tempFile, IDownloadNotification notification, DownloadOptions options) at System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentManager.BindCore(Boolean blocking, TempFile& tempDeploy, TempDirectory& tempAppDir, FileStream& refTransaction, String& productName) at System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentManager.Bind() at System.Deployment.Application.ApplicationDeployment.CheckForDetailedUpdate(Boolean persistUpdateCheckResult) at GmrClient.MainWindow.ContinueCheckingForUpdates()

Sorry about that! The server was having responsiveness issues that should be resolved now.

Hi Tazzik, I tried again, but not much success. first one submitted fine, second one failed again with retry. I hit no to try again, but the website still moved forward to the next player. It seems even if you say no to try, it still sends something to the site indicating it has been uploaded

in my debut logs, I have this every 30 seconds - should I have this many? is it maybe my client that needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled?

Maybe it is just my internet connection? I'm still have this issue, but it is also a terrible connection to the website. I often get warnings that a script is unresponsive on the website when loading up list of games or submitting turns manually.
