Scenarios Hotseat
I honestly cannot understand - how it is supposed to work with the Scenarios. I mean it. And why It's even called Scenarios hot seat anyway since it's online only.

I mean the only Thing Me and My Friend Wanted is to Play a hot seat Scenario - Japanese invasions of Korea (1592–98) for 2 of us. Since we had no such opportunity in the Vanilla game - we searched every other ways\mods to do so - until we found GMR.

"That's what we need!" - we thought. Since only GMR offers a hots seat scenarios in the whole internet.

Well I did exactly what was in the description (Although the video manual is of no real use for scenarios, and there is no thread in the FAQ about how to play Scenarios). I loaded my vanilla save and got our self modified one - pasted it in the needed folder. And I loaded it in the game.

But since my friend did his turn as a Korea - and my Japan turn menu appeared - the "Continue" button was inactive.

Inactive. In the video manual you had to leave the game to pass the turn to your friend far away so he could do his turn. And even then the hot seat button after the turn end was active. You could press it and play it on your computer.

But we couldn't. We would definitely wouldn't even need the app itself - since we got the modified save. But It doesn't work properly.

So we were sad since our computers aren't that good to restart game for each turn without waiting as hell. But we thought - well we still could use it on one computer if we would just switch our profiles in the GMR app. So we did. And we loaded the save. The button was still inactive.

Then we noticed that you have to re-upload your new save to GMR before playing next turn - so We did it. And what do you think we got?

"Sorry!

It appears that you didn't completely end your turn before saving this game. Please replay your turn and be sure to only save when you are prompted for the next player's turn."

What. The. Hell.

Seriously we would even do this whole bothersome procedure just to play this - but we still can't!

I understand that there's most surely is something i miss or do wrong but Please - Explain me What. Or post correct and detailed Tutorial on how to Play Hot seat Scenarios. Please!

As a protection, we make it so that the passwords for other players cannot be typed[multiplayerrobot.com]. The way Civilization handles player passwords is disabling the continue button on the new turn screen.

If you intend to play the game over GMR, save the game at the player turn screen and upload it to GMR. When that player gets the save, the continue button will be enabled, or their password will be set to what it is on the website settings.

If you intend to play the game on local hot seat, have each player in your game go to the game details page and disable password encryption. Then, re-download the save from GMR.

Thanks a lot - Though I as I said - We tried uploading it back to GMR at the turn screen but I got that error - about the not finished turn - and we did it for about 3 times to be sure - to the same result - It still doesn't accept the save back.

Though we probably will try the second option - since we intend to play on one computer.

Thanks a lot again you did amazing job and helped us too - but please - consider what I said in the beginning - GMR doesn't accept our saves anyway...

GMR gives this error when the current player index in the save doesn't line up with the next player it's expecting. You don't need to submit the save before completing your first turn - that's required for modded games to convert them to hot seat. Since you are doing a scenario game, the save was converted to hot seat when you created the game and provided the initial file.

Examining your save file, it looks like it's currently Japan's turn. This means that you'll need to download the current save from GMR, via the web or app, take your turn as Japan, then save and upload the turn when it's on Korea's turn screen. If you are unable to press continue on the screen for Japan's turn, make sure that you have downloaded the newest save from GMR.

That being said, if you're planning on playing on one computer, there's no need to bounce your saves off GMR. If both you and your friend disable password encryption from the game details page then re-download the save, you'll be able to play your game locally. If at any point you want to continue your game over GMR, you can upload your hot seat save as long as it's your friend's turn when you upload it.
