Another idea I had was the creation of more permanent themes. These could be more standard type games with standard type settings, perhaps with a range of players (2-4) and different VC's.
Examples
1. 2-4 player All VC (except time)
2. 2-4 player Dom
3. 2-4 player Science
4. 2-4 player Culture
5. 2-4 player Diplo
Then with each monthly theme, you could try different things for an enhanced experience. I think this would get more games going. I know this would probably make things more complicated for you, though, so...
