Ah yes, MYST.. Interesting to see its being remastered too, though hopefully the collection i have is still valid! Haha.. Including having a copy for Philips CD-i, PS2, Xbox, PC..box full of them, plus the guide books!

Hi, Thanks. I wanted to ask anyone here because it's aparently not allowed in the forums for this type of questions but has anyone been having trouble buying games on Steam? I've been trying to get in on the deals and so far I tried steam browser, IE7, Firefox, I even downloaded safari, I know it's not my credit cards or my pc because I tried again today from work and even that computer the purchase failed. So far I have attempted to buy the hitman collections, esther, ghost recon series ect to no avail.

Greetings Fellow MF's. Glad to have found this group. I've explored all but the very first MYST. I have it but have not the time to instal it and give it a go. I see we can get MYST via steam which is a nice option but for me it just feels better having the disc. I have tried installing the first MYST on my old PC but game play always froze. Either GB was too low or I had issues with QT.

Here's how you keep it from crashing/freezing: You must start Riven from steam. Then Cntrl-alt-del to bring up START TASK MANAGER. Goto "Processes" tab and at the bottom select "Show Processes from all Users". Right click RIVEN from the active list and select "Set Affinity". Choose only 1 core it doesn't matter. click ok and close task manager. Now it may be like mine were for each step above you'll have to click Cntrl-alt-del until your done with task manager. Ive tried setting the affinity as Cyan worlds describes for Win7 by setting the Launch options within Steam but it didn't work for me. This works for me as i discribed.
