Been a long time since I first joined the Plauge, in fact I beleive it was somewhere around New Year's 2011. Some good memories; CornTown, the OP saw blade, waiting 20 minutes to get into the server because I didn't have VIP, and grinding to get a f*cking towel hat. But jesus that was a long time ago.

I think the server actually died with Synovestos, I have no clue what happened to him and I don't think we'll ever find out but his character gave the server life and kept our little but large community going. For me I left when I found a new community on the DayZ Mod, ironically that server died after a couple years because it's leader dissapeared as well.

I came back after a while for a little bit, just to see how the old life was doing. I'm not sure if I was lucky or unlucky to see that the server was on its last legs, there were some 14 or so people on. I left again a couple weeks later. Then I joined this group, ocassionaly hopping on Gmod only to check the server pop to see if it bounced back, unfortunatly it didn't.

Noobonic didn't have a graceful death, little by little old players left only to have new players join for a few weeks and find it was too toxic for them. Because it was a toxicity that only our community could endure, a toxicity that we enjoyed.

Along with Synovestos leaving I believe that most of us grew up and that Noobonic didn't satisfy us the way it used too. Empires rise and fall, and this one was no different. I'm sad it died but somewhat glad it did, because to me a death provides more closure than something getting lost to the sands of time.

Anyway, thanks for the memories Noobonic Plauge and it's community. I'll see all you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in Hell.
