HeRp :Made the map, the layout, and future missions.

MDP_Toaster :Made the custom textures for the gimmick's doors. Made new red bomb hologram.

dexc36 :Made the teletank. Detailing work, lighting work.

Startacker! :Placed medkits and ammo kits around the map, idk he wanted credits for it.

Not Your Sagittarius :Created an amazing icon I wouldn't have been able to make.

Swordstone :Created the custom announcer sound file.

Info: mvm_transmission is a gatebot map with a new gimmick to put a new twist to gatebots. Instead of gatebots capturing a control point, they must attack this gate jammer box to open up the gate. The map is a radio broadcast station located near a high techy warehouse. The gatebots in later versions will be known as "Radiobots" attacking a "Gate Signal Jammer"

The map currently has two missions, Beta Empire Escalation and Beta Metro Malice, pick your poison.

REQUESTS AND NOTES:
  • I do plan on adding a way to tell players how the hell this map works, via a custom announcer.
  • I do plan to add bombpath holograms.
  • The map's gimmick needs to be balanced off the gimmick's HP and bot aggro.
  • Please DM me or ping poing me when the map is being played please.

Ya better have bombpath holograms in the next version, and a better mission if you can, too. If even Valve decided it was too bad to put in game, then mayhaps consider there being a reason for such.

See if you can move the spawndoors somwhere else. Prefferbly so that I, as a robot, can not see the player exiting from the screenshot. I would like, as the player, to get out of spawn and jump into cover with an advantagous position, I would not like to spawn camped 50 odd feet away by a giant crit spamming soldier/heavy.
It would also be prefferble to exit into 2 different areas, right now it would be possible for a bunch of bots can stuff themselves inside of that space between our spawndoors and camp both.

Mayhaps make this wall transparant/remove it, if we've fallen back and are holding behind the containers it's hard to notice something taking that flank to get us from behind.
likewise, anyone standing up there can't really judge what's going on down there by the containers. It's also rather dangerous to take the stairs down to retreat from there, due too the rather nasty corner awaiting them downstairs, whilst having no clue what could be behind there.

CHANGES:
  • Added holograms.
  • Lowered the ceiling at the front.
  • Made the wall at the upper area where the staircase is a fence so you can see the bots from above.
  • Removed the claw hand at the bot spawn because it now is in the way because of the low ceiling.
  • Added tank support.
  • Modified the nav and added some more shit to make the bots not be shit.
  • Added a shit test mission to test the new gameplay mechanics.

  • Added a fake gate cap.
  • Added an actual real mission for the map.

REQUESTS AND NOTES:
  • Unfortunately, I wont have time to do real tests before I could send this in due to irl stuff and me going somewhere for a couple of days. It would be nice if the prejudges could play the mission and give feedback and provide a demo as well.
    Also don't use the sandman.

  • Added func_brushes to hide the dispensers.
  • More detailing.
  • Fixed some spots that could be built on that sentry busters couldn't reach.

MISSION CHANGES:
  • Fixed templates on some Radiobots.
  • Nerfed waves 1-5, minor buffing on 6.

W3: Nerf tank by 2k. Decrease the MaxActive of the engies in the final part by 1
W5: Too long, remove something of your choice, I'd recommend the final heavy + medic
W6: Slow ending, speed up the final 2 demos and final 2 soldiers

Oh and fix the medics getting stuck on the gate

TO DO LIST:

Balance the adv mission.

Make an intermediate.

Add more relays for mission makers.

Reartpass the map to be more high techy for the transmission theme.

  • There's now a tutorial and voiceline on start of wave 1 explaining how the map works.
  • Modified the gate signal jammers to be more demobot friendly..
  • Map now has full soundscapes.
  • More detail.

Wave 2:
  • Finale now spawns both last FaN Super Scouts together.

Wave 3:
  • Removed one Giant Spammer Soldier from the finale.
  • Replaced Giant Spammer in the finale with a Giant Burst.
  • Removed a couple of comfy heavies from finale.

Wave 5:
  • Made rare secret bot even more rare.

Wave 6:
  • Replaced Giant Heavies with Giant Deflector Heavies.

Wave 7:
  • Replaced Giant Black Box with Giant Cannon.

Wave 8:
  • Replaced rare Giant Demo Radiobot support with Bowman Rapid Fire.

This map was tested on the day this comment time stamp says it was. Intermediate was testing with the big issue being the time of it.

Map needs a new artpass to spytech.
