[ACCEPTED] [MISSION] Bigrock Event - Brain Taker
  • Difficulty: Advanced

  • No custom upgrades

  • No re-balances to weapons and/or classes

  • No blacklisted upgrades, items, or classes

  • Other restrictions or major changes:
    -certain robots have unique drops. yes I reused that mechanic
    -wave start countdown is set to 7 (from 10)
    -all waves use custom music (listed inside popfile)

General Feedback:
  • It's an okay mission, I didn't find waves other than wave 4 too entertaining but I think that's just my personal taste.
  • Music was barely audible at snd_musicvolume 1. Since it's tied to snd_musicvolume, you can probably afford to raise the volume a little.

Wave 4:
  • (Lemony)Respawn timer was 30 seconds for a couple of times when I died on wave 4 but it went back to 13 second respawns later for some reason. Something for Bazooks to look into.
  • Solid boss wave, but the boss has too much health to the point where it feels like a chore to slowly whittle him down. My suggestion is lower it by 60k, but it's not a strict requirement and you can choose the value yourself.

Major changes made:
Wave 1
-Reduced the skill of Heavies and Soldiers

Wave 2
-Reduced the skill of Demomen

Wave 4
-Boss' fire attacks now do percentage-based damage over time instead of a flat damage.
-Reduced afterburn duration from the boss' fire attacks
-Boss' supernova now stuns instead of instantly killing unubered players.
-Decreased time between most boss actions
-Increased boss movement speed
-Bomb now only takes the bottom paths in this wave
-Reduced boss HP by 45,000
-Adjusted certain damage multipliers
-Increased small bot spawn count
-Decreased time between giant spawns
-Increased special drop frequency from the supporting bots
