Strike, Pass, or No Strike?: No Strike

Team Lineup:
  • Yuugi (Demoman)
  • Predicamento (Heavy)
  • Cargo O’ Truth (Scout)
  • MIKObscura (Medic)
  • Sergeant Table (Soldier)
  • Skin King (Engineer)

General Feedback:
  • Please remove the judging restrictions popfile since the restrictions only apply to intermediate and advanced difficulty.
  • The whole mission really shows it is untested, certain waves just feel empty, drags a lot, and doesn't feel like expert at all.
  • Many of the robot templates are used from previous events which is okay but using too many of them doesn’t feel like it’s unique anymore and feels like mashed together at the last minute.
  • The low starting credits and payout in the early waves make it more favorable to go Heavy/Engineer since those classes work better with low cash than a soldier/demoman would. I would recommend balancing or making the total payout higher in the earlier waves.
  • Be careful or avoid when you use Hard/Expert Ai on common bots, especially hitscan as these tend to be very deadly when facing them at close range.

Wave 1:
  • See General Feedback.
  • The common bots with melee did absolutely nothing against the Red. Even for 450 starting credits, they are just fodder.
  • The last subwave with the demoman feels like a roller coaster and after the support is cleared it falls back into nothingness.

Wave 2:
  • See General Feedback.
  • Big Bear with Giant Uber Medic serves as nothing more than a punching bag. Replace the Big Bear that is more ranged Giant.

Wave 3:
  • The First subwave is really where it starts to ramp up the difficulty, Giant Combo Pyro, Giant Burst Demo, and the Helicopter pushed the Red team very harshly.
  • Please do not hide Battalions on the Giant Burst Demo without providing any suitable icon.
  • After the first subwave the Giants take a very long time to come out and as a consequence of that, the wave stretches out way more. Even the mini-giants take a while to come out and feel very boring. We spent around 10 minutes on this wave alone.
  • Sergeant Shapeshifter doesn’t feel like going for the bomb? or probably is trying to hunt down players. We were really confused about where the boss was and had to move to the front to end the wave.

Wave 4:
  • The moment we started the wave, everything mentioned how empty the previous waves are thrown out of the window. A constant stream of Commons/Giants makes it more suitable for expert difficulty but can be overwhelming to some players as the Giants really are deadly.
  • Giant Charged Soldier on the final subwave is questionable and is weak to use as a finale. Perhaps you can replace it with a stronger giant.
