The Potato staff are well aware of this, and they have mentioned that the site will be back by tomorrow.

i am assuming that is the reason why downloading assets is currently excruciatingly slow - near impossible ? will give it a try again tomorrow in any case

you can download the assets without the slow speed, the alternative download link is on github on: https://github.com/potato-tf/ArchiveAssets

thanks for your answer

i know about the link but i'd rather specifically download the maps / missions i am interested in : for example.i am not too fond of "reverse" robo missions so no point in downloading all those assets if i'm never going to play those

hopefully,everything will go back to normal once the site is up and running again

edit : everything is back to normal now
