You answered your own question. Long missions aren't really fun because either you get too much money or you get money too slowly

1. The hatch has a massive nobuild that makes no sense.
2. When you have resetting bomb, you need to always drop some support so they will bring the bomb back in
3. All your tanks spawn at the hatch

You gotta feel the same pain than robots

Some kind of changelog:

• Remade most of the cave section and changed the connectors in the middle
  
• Nav improvements (hopefully)
  
• Paced out robots in advanced1
  
• Made some robot counts smaller and made them spawn in smaller groups
  
• Nerfed rapid fire Direct Hit Soldiers
  
• Distributed more money on the waves, from 3800 to 4800
  
• Wave 2 Giant Medic changed to normal Medic
  
• Wave 2 Scorch support MaxActive from 10 to 8

I don't disagree with what has been said here but also I would like to add that MvM is 6 man cooperative mode and you should be ready to make compromises too every once in a while.
