Read the contracts page on https://hydrogen-mvm.github.io/Madness/pdf/Campaign.pdf. This link is also on the front page of the website for convenience where it reads "If you are a new player, please skim the instructions manual to learn how the campaign works."

Individual contributions to "This is Madness!" are not shown, because everyone who's ever played would have exactly one point. Also, you don't need to contribute to a contract to receive its star(s); once a contract is completed, everyone gets the star(s).

Except for the first medal, you need both. You get tour points by completing missions for the first time and you get stars by working with the community to complete the contracts.

Medals past the first one require contract points as well as tour points. Contract points are gained by working with the community to complete the contracts.

Here the thing: As soon as those contraacts are done, everyone is going to receive their medals at once, and the valve servers will run out of medals to give out....

As Zeug said, you still have to collect 100 tour points to obtain the final medal (this requires playing ~25 missions). Additionally, we can't "run out" of medals to to give out; they aren't finite. Everyone who earns the medals will get the medals.

Potato, you provide great services, but why are you overcomplicating it? TT's star system was pretty good.... Complete the maps, get stars, get medals....

Not even considering the medal ban, Valve doesn't give new medals for events that are effectively rehashed versions of previous events. This is why competitive leagues have to use the same medals each year. If we did anything too similar to TT, we would only be able to reuse TT's single medal. Likewise if we ran CC v2.

I have another idea: is it possible for you to swap a couple of your USA servers for LA USA servers? Here in Australia, I get 240ms ping from all of your USA servers, whereas I get 120ms ping from the Valve LA servers. I'd rather have a permanent LA server than a dedicated Aus server that disappears after a while.

Edit: this is all assuming that you could swap east USA servers for west USA servers at no extra cost

All of our US servers are effectively free because the machines are owned by Potato staff. Getting LA servers would cost additional money and they would just be added to the total number of US servers.

There will be 2 Australia servers and 4 (I think) Singapore servers included when we fully launch. They will last as long as donations support them and they are actively used.
