Strike, Pass, or No Strike?: No Strike

General Feedback:
  • Generally seems a whole lot less "RED gets pushed to hatch and the mission turns into a slow crawl toward the end" but thanks to that, it's now flipped over to the waves being over pretty quick until a giant deathball pushes RED out of the front. Which is nice compared to the earlier double-front scenario.
  • Waves have a lot of this thing going on where there's a lot of different types of bots with rather small Totalcounts. And every wave has their own theme song as well. Expect the music to get cut since going a bit too hard on copyrighted material is a no-can-do.
  • The greys, now that we can pay some attention to them, feel kind of lackluster in some waves. Like on Wave 2, there are easy skill Scouts on Grey that aren't going to do much of anything. And on the next there's the Jetpack Soldier and the Armored Snipers.
    It'd be good to reconsider the kind of Greys that appear on certain waves so they can potentially stack up on a fight against either team rather than sending out complete jobbers.

Wave 3:
  • Perhaps consider removing like one or two of the Giant Accelerators at the end, wave ends kinda funny when it's just the Giants and nothing else after a whole lot of shooting.

Wave 4:
  • Dunno what was up with the Conchs somehow outlasting the Giants, could be the weird pathing they took because of the bomb's location.

Wave 5:
  • Funny enough, this would be a wave where RED being pushed out of the front is actually needed for the patrolling Giants to be able to show off their whole patrolling thing. But we held our ground pretty well so the greys kinda hung around waiting for us to get pushed over to their side of the fence.

General Feedback:
  • The skybox being like that is due to us running Marathon before this and the skybox change carried over.
  • You forgot to include the judging restrictions on this but I *think* we played according to those anyway?
  • Money-wise it feels a bit low, as a team with a Soldier and Demo with access to Kritzkrieg somehow felt like they could not deal enough damage to clear the mission?

Wave 2:
  • Giant Heater Heavy is just called Heavyweapons thanks to the template being silly, this can be addressed by just adding a Name yourself.
  • The boss isn't a complete joke anymore and is now in the opposite direction where they're easily the most difficult bot on the entire mission. That +50% dmg bonus on the scattergun hurts when you don't have resistance money yet, and when he returns for the final wave: he still hurts!
  • And once he goes low enough he drops the slow and goes for a Hail Mary play on the hatch (also apparently has Stomp attributes but it doesn't work because stomp needs to also deal damage for the knockback to have any effect.)
Wave 3-4:
  • 600 feels kinda low of a payout for a wave like this.
Wave 5:
  • The general low payouts from earlier make the giant bumrush of Armored Sandmen and Giant Soldiers with Kritz Medics real nasty to deal with.
    Wave 6:
    • At first I thought the bosses were the same as they were on earlier waves. But that's not the case, as the bosses have some cheeky damage tweaks done which doesn't work too well with a mission that has those 600 payouts!
    • Giant Scout boss has +100% damage bonus on the scatterun.
    • Giant Soldier boss starts with +100% damage bonus and loses 30% as they turn into more of a complete spammer type.
    • The only one who doesn't have any major changes like that is the Giant Medic, funny enough. Unless I just can't tell what the changes are.
