Any Battlefield Players? Anyone still on PS2 or Warframe?

Hey Phantom Alumni,

Just a quick group announcement today. I like to put these out every so often when something of shared interest to us all occurs, and/or as a check-up to see how everyone is doing in this year 2025.

First up Battlefield 6
It's Open Beta weekend as of this post and yes I am likely going to be playing at release. It has been a very long time since I dabbled in PvP FPS and I'm not going to lie Battlefield 3/4 are some of my favourites (Of course I was a huge COD lad growing up too). So I always try the new one, 2042 I did not enjoy but this one feels a lot more like The BF of old. So if anyone is up for playing BF6 either during this Beta or at release hit me up, or add me on stream if we are not friends already.

PS2 & Warframe
Anyone still play Planetside 2, if so, how is it these days and how is our beloved Vanu doing (Unless you turn coated and joined TR/NC)? I very occasionally download and play PS2, I believe we did a return event last year or the year before (Can't recall how long lol) and if you ever see me return hit me up. As for Warframe I have been back on this train for awhile so if there are any Warframers around who want to group up and play get in touch.

Finally I want to leave off this post with a wish and a hope that everyone is doing well in their lives, the years keep ticking and we all keep getting older, so it's always good to hear from PTMC Alumni and catch up with life's many twists and turns. Personally I'm doing alright and I do feel like I have some free time outside of work to game pretty regularly in addition I think I might start streaming again soon too, But let me know and come catch up either very Steam or our old PTMC Discord (Yes it still exists somehow lol though it is a ghost town).

Surprise! Any Battle-Bit Remastered, Foxhole etc interest?

Hey, hope everyone is well!

I've had, in recent months, people ask me if we'll ever reform in PS2 or if PS3 ever happened if we'd return. The answer is sadly a no on PS2 and a definite maybe for PS3, though I highly doubt it will ever be announced and/or happen.

So I got to thinking and figured we have this group and it's still fairly well populated surprisingly so, if only for nostalgia, I'd like to put some feelers out there and pose a question to anyone who still checks this group or reads this.

Do any of you have an interest in perhaps doing a Battle-Bit Remastered crew or maybe a Foxhole group? Both are games that albeit are not really a replacement for PS2 but they are similar in terms of organised team-play/mmo (Albeit Battle-bit is in early days of forming).

If so hit me up in the comments of this post or via pm here or on discord. I will note this though any set-up will not be a super serious, time intensive commitment like the old days. We would pick a day or two to run a session and depending on whose about run an organised crew. So this will be a much more casual clan but could be cool, so let me know! Anyhow I hope you all have a great day and see you about!

PS I do have a little Diablo 4 clan for any of you who may play it, poke me if you want in or search Daemonwatch in-game. It's a social clan so nothing serious just there for ease of grouping.

Back from a rough year and Discord Relaunch!

Hey all, hope everyone is well and life is good!

So you ever hate having Discord Servers in your list that are dead and you keep them for nostalgia etc? I definitely do. So with my long hiatus over, due to health and life stuff, I figured lets just relaunch the Discord.

I can confirm there are no plans to relaunch as a PS2 Outfit etc (If PS3 ever happened and was good, maybe I dunno) but I do want to use the Discord as a place for peeps to gather, hang out, keep in touch and Guild up if they want in whatever games they are playing. I don't expect it to be suddenly full with everyone in again etc, and it's not the point, but I think it's worth trying to inject some life here and catch up.

TLDR: Relaunching Discord as a place to hang out, catch up and play any games together/or apart if you want, come chat!

Yes we're back! It's Official!

Hey Phantoms,

So this is just a quick follow up post in relation to our previous announcement. We have officially decided to return back to Planetside 2. We enjoyed our time so much playing again and playing with old friends that we feel it's the perfect time to start a new era of PTMC.

With that said we are planning a return to weekly Operations. These will be in lower numbers then our, once upon a time, event a day policy. And we also won't have mandatory event attendance quotas that you have to follow in order to not get kicked. We are taking a far more relaxed approach to the Outfit dedication required from members. Not only because we are all older, and have way more responsibilities, but because it's just more fun to not have any of that old pressure.

That being said most Operations will be the competitive kind we always use to do, because that is just what PTMC does. So yes strict comms discipline and squad tactics will be in place for Ops (Unless noted as not being), but there won't be any hard enforcement like the old days for the most part. We firmly believe PTMC has something to bring to PS2 and especially to the Vanu still, and as such we will be looking for new blood, and with it, new friends to play with. Recruiting starts today all and PTMC is alive and well! LF new Officers too, so get in touch with Eidelon or SamanthaFlowers if you want to help out.

Planetside 2 Revisited 2021

Hey all,

Well it's certainly been some time since we posted anything in this group that's for sure, hope everyone is doing well. We just have a quick announcement to throw out there;

A number of old PTMC members are currently revisiting PS2 5/6 years since our retirement as an Outfit and as such we are inviting everyone that wants to come hang out in PS2 and check out some of the new features since our time, like Orbital Strikes, Colossus, Bastions etc, to step on by the old Discord (Link in the Group).

Nothing serious is planned, though we are thinking about maybe doing something, but for now it's just a PS2 hang out, chill and catch up.

June Newsletter

Welcome to the PTMC Newsletter for June 2017. Here is a quick rundown of anything and everything going on in PTMC at the moment.

Star Citizen
Patch 3.0 is due to hit at the end of June so this will be the starting gun for recruiting and running events in Star Citizen going forward. More on this in the July Newsletter, as that will be when things really kick off.

PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds
We have an ever growing group of people playing PUBG on a regular basis. So if this is a game you play stop by the Discord and say hi, most nights of the week you can find some folks to play with with relative ease.

Black Desert Online
I played the Beta of BDO but it has now it has now offically been released on Steam, and because I always like to have an MMO to play you will find me playing on a regular basis. We do have a Guild (Phantom_Company), though there are no serious plans to do much with it at this time. It's mainly just a place for me to bring in friends and do some Guild specific group stuff, as well as one day owning and decorating a Guild Hall. If you want to hang out in BDO I'm located on the 'EU_Olivia10_Steam' server. So pop by and ask for an invite if you want to play and get involved.

Welcome to the PTMC Newsletter! I'm going to be posting this quick rundown of goings on in PTMC every month here on out, because why not?

So here's the breakdown as we enter May.

+ PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) Pick-ups.
The game that has taken over your friends list this past month has also become a central focus for those in the PTMC discord. Every night, pretty much, you can find PTMC members and friends playing PUBG in Discord. So if this is a game you play and you want to hope in for some Squad play pop on by the Discord and ask for a pick-up.

+ Star Citizen 3.0 coming June.
The time we've all been waiting for is just down the road with 3.0 being announced to be coming out in June. This is the patch where the PU will have a whole system to explore and fun times on planets commences. This is the patch when PTMC's Star Citizen organisation will start very much recruiting in full and organising events, game bugs allowing. So now's a great time to catch up with your fellow Phantoms and to join the organisation if you haven't already!

Where's Friday Ops?

Hey Guys,

So it's been a hectic few weeks but I finally have a chance to sit and write about what's going on with PS2 Friday Ops, as it hasn't taken place for two weeks. The plan is to still do it and I intend very much to continue them, however due to work commitments I won't be running them for a couple more weeks yet.

The reason why is fairly straightforward, the Owner/Manager of the Hotel I work at had an accident while in Spain putting her in a wheelchair and unable to walk for about 2 monthes and then onto surgery. This has meant that I am working pretty much 6 days a week, often 7 days to cover the staff shortage and this includes the time when I would run Ops on a Friday, thus I haven't been able to run them.

Positive news however, my Boss will be back in a few weeks time once some ramps are installed at work and this should result in my time being freed up again, one can hope, because these long weeks are super un-fun and allowing Ops to proceed.

So stay tuned folks and as soon as I'm free again I'll message those in the roster a few days beforehand when Ops is going ahead again. Though of course theres nothing stopping you guys from playing without me in the meantime, so happy hunting!

Battle Royale Anyone?

Hey Folks,

So Battle Royale is a game mode (Insprired by the movie it's namesake comes from) in Arma but also the point of the game H1Z1: King of Kill (Pretty much what they dumped PS2 for). There is one coming out and, admitedly it has a dumb name, called PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds go look it up. It's coming to early access March 23rd but it is very promising.

The main reason I bring it up here is that it has Duo and Group queues so you can play with your mates. I'm very much considering jumping in if I can get a duo partner or a group together, so thats why this post is here. If you look into iy and are interested in maybe getting involved post in the comments below.

If we can get a few of us together then we'll run weekly sessions etc. So let me know folks, and as always, feel free to post any games that you'd be interested in playing with Phantoms in the group and let's see what we can set-up.
