The Problem of Quickbuying
I just got into unusual trading (Only have a mid-tier unusual by now) First gen effect spy class unusual. I am trying to sell it for a moderate affordable price as any would suggest for this unusual. I am also open to negotiations about it. I know unusual trading really takes time and its hard. But there is a very BIG problem there are only EXTREME quickbuyers out there nobody is willing to trade with you unless it's HALF the price. I think that TF2 Outpost should take measures to limit this problem because it will eventually kill the economy in my opinion and everyone will just quit trading because they make ZERO profit out of it and they won't be able to achieve their trading goals. I am open to any opinions. Anyone selling unusuals out there can really understand the extreme dificculty for selling it decently. So yes Quckbuyers=the real problem of the tf2-economy.

If you read the rules page you can see that TF2Outpost does take measure against extreme quick buyers. Now your definition of extreme might be different but you have to remember it's a free market. Regulating a market can kill it just as easily as letting sharks run rampant.

Quick buyers are not the real problem in the economy, if you wanna blame somebody blame quick sellers. Anyone can create a trade and wait for decent offers even if it takes time, you never have to go to quick buyers.

I can agree with your statement. But the problem is not only about me, pretty much everyone in the unusual trading is experiencing this problem and many people just quit trading because they are frustrated that can't sell their unusuals for even a decent discount!. I opened this post for people that have experiencedsame issues in trading. Anyway, thanks for the reply and it's good tosee that TF2 Outpost does take some measures against extreme quickbuyers. :)
Answer = marketplace= buy keys on the drop

Thank you for the reply. But I am only talking about unusual trading and yes I know I can buy keys for lower prices at marketplace. I just want to see what other people thinking about Quickbuying (usually extreme quickbuying like 50%-70%) at TF2 Outpost. This thing actually makes unusual trading harder than ever and it may be an actual threat to the TF2 economy.
Vagos has a point, fun is almost gone trading unusuals......

Thanks s7ven the unusual trading is frustrating but it is the only profitable trading method in tf2 economy. (I mean keys profit) Anyway this quickbuying is really a problem that's why I started the post I think that pretty much every unusual trader will totally agree with me because everyone is experiencing this and find really frustrating to sell their unusual for even 1-2 keys profit.! It's insane if you think about it since unusuals take a lot of time to sell!

Well, the most easy solution is: avoid humans. Dont trade with humans, trade with bots. Use automated trading solutions, list the item with a fixed price, and then let it sell itself.

You want to make huge profit? Go and get a job. The only ones getting a real stupid amount of profit out of virtual items is Valve, always remember that.

I know I am not trying to make really decent profit in Unusual tarding. (Also I am in the University right now). You lost the point I am trying to make statements about the tf2 economy right now and nothing else. What am I saying is something that any trader will totally understand the Huge amount of quickbuyers are a threat to the economy that's my point that's why I started this post to hear suggestions or even sollutions to it. As for the trading with bots I will think about it.
TF2 economy is like this: 90% of people want to sell stuff for profit, 10% of people want to buy stuff. You dont need a business school degree to figure out how this affect prices and sales, you need one if you want to change it :demoticon:

Lol no, unusual trading is far from the only way to profit from unusual trading. Any long time trader knows that killstreak banking, steam market buy orders, and buying and selling new update items on the steam market provide plenty of profit while you wait for your unusuals to sell. Try trading for a year, and explore. Don't do what everybody else is doing.
