Does promoting my trade count as spam?
If I make a discussion about the items im trading/selling, does that count as spam?

Yes obviously. That's the whole reason the site was created for, to give people an easy way to promote or find trades. Posting here defeats that purpose and any threads containing trades will be deleted without a warning.
