is this new layout permanent or is there an option to still use the older style (which i happen to be more fond of) ???

I too am rather fond of the old style as it set it apart from other sites such as dispenser.tf, and it was easy to traverse and visually ideal. I would prefer the old style over this new one in a heartbeat.

This new one made me throw up a little, no offense to the staff. Just really clusterfucked and unnecessary overall.

This new layout is making me a little queezy.. You replaced a very nice, functioning, top bar with an oversized search feature that you'll only ever want to see if you're actually searching. Then moved all of the topbar to a sidebar that moves your entire screen if you accidentally slide over it. This is a UI nightmare.

1. Make the search bar wayyyy smaller, or put it somewhere else
2. remove that awful pop out feature on the sidebar. You mouse over the buttons and 1/6 of the website gets covered over by mostly empty boxes, and when you go to click on something in trade it suddenly jumps away from your mouse when the blank space retracts.
3. The trade offers/stream box on the right is ok, but again it's very big empty space.
4. Outpost is a website for trading items. Why is the UI half of the website?

EDIT: Hopefully these complains will be read and taken seriously - as is the site is very unpleasant to use

The new layout may be nice to some but I prefer having my outpost be less visually cluttered and with less motion. The old site was simple and static in most ways which made it easy to identify what trades had and wanted and to navigate throughout it as well.

I will say the functionality of the mobile site is good, finally being able to edit descriptions etc is neat.

However, I'd love an option to use the old site's more simple and more still design.

More info about the layout change will become avaliable soon.

I'll pass on your collective complaints to Sneeza.

is getting such a negative response to something that took a lot of work upsetting? if so i'm sorry that you guys have to deal with this kind of response.

Since you are updating the site again. Would be cool if you added a feature to the search so you can search for items in already closed trades as well as open ones. That it would allow us to better research past trades.

this one is way too cluttered and hurts my eyes :[

The idea of new color scheme is great , the new search bar on top is also a most welcome addition, and so is the more smooth design for the HUD and comments (feels like a new site and much less cluttered)

The only thing I would say, is the site feels a bit to dark, think a lighter tone would be much more well received.

Truthfully, I know that a fair bit of time and effort must have been spent on this, but it does not have the same charm as the previous UI did. It feels more like it's trying to be too much like some of the other trading sites out there (especially those like Bazaar.tf) and losing the charm that made it Outpost to begin with.
