phishing sucks
so I just got a random friend request from some guy a few days ago I thought it was for a trade because I was on a trade website a few times sentme this website:[Removed] STEANCOMMUUITY! carefully read the links and if anyone sends you a random request saying to friend someone, DO NOT DO IT! I traded all of my items to a trustable friend and changed my password, email, and secret question. Do not trust anyone random... it made me download steamvalidator.exe and it had the steam logo on it. the website looked just like steam community. do not trust anyone

Please don't post those links on the forums. People might mis-click. The staff have done everything they can to stop these phsers, you need to wait until steam figures out a way.

We're fully aware of this and the forums has dozens of topics on this.

We've done all that we can and have kept them from doing much on the site, which only drove them to using Steam where we have no power. It is out of our hands at this point.
