Firstly, I am curious whether TF2OP uses the IP address of a user to determine whether he is a alt of another account.
Secondly, although my IP may have been same at some point as the banned user https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/JoeyCahill/, there are various ways to tell that I am in no way related to the banned user. This may be complex to determine and time-costly for other cases, but I am posting these here so I can appeal my ban.
a) I have over 800 hours of TF2. (It seems to be a lot for me) No one would spend 800 hours on a alternate account that they just use to create alternative accounts on TF2 websites.
b) I do not know the banned user, nor have him on my friends list. If a main account would create a alt, he would surely add him as a friend to funnel items. (Although I think it is possible to also do so by trade offer links)
c) To prove I live in China, most of my Steam friends are players who live in China and play in Chinese servers. I have friended many because we often play together in these Chinese servers.
Lastly, In the future I will try to access TF2OP without using a VPN (If this appeal goes throw). It is very slow to do so but I am willing to sacrifice the fast load time for access to this website.
I am thankful for Toughsox's patience in replying to my thread after closing my appeal. Hopefully if he reads this he will reopen the appeal. Also, if any admins were to see this reply, please try to contact Toughsox and ask him to look at my reply. I would greatly appreciate if you can do so. Thank you very much.
