Tf2outpost traders making stupid trades, Why?
I know i know i haven't make the best trades but i allways go off backpack.tf prices. I see people wanting to trade 2-3 ref for a 1k item, why? why do you have to make it impossible to trade?

Outpost doesn't regulate prices nor do they enforce them.

"We do not regulate or enforce prices and we have no plans on doing so. People are free to set their own prices and negotiate a better deal, and pricing guides should be used only as an estimate of an item's value. "Worth" is a very relative word".

I know but when i go on to try and trade stuff...lets say sub zero suit trading for 1-1.5 keys people on outpost are wanting to buy it for 4 ref. It's impossible to trade anything unless someone agrees with your/my price.

backpack.tf != reality, quite often that is.

Check out the market yourself and figure out how much something is. And make your own buying trade instead of going to a seller trade, way too many profit sharks out there.

I know and i feel like them people are wrecking the economy. 50% of me is pissed of i can't sell stuff and the other half is pissed item prises drop because of it. i could handle 1-2 ref off and i would trade that but 6-7 ref off no way.

No one says you have to trade with them. It's their items, they can price them how they want.

Clearly noone cares about economy.

It's a trading game, there's always people highballing and lowballing. It's how it's always been.

Backpack.tf is a joke.

The best way of pricing something is to check the market for what others are selling for, then, if you want to sell quickly, price yours 5% cheaper.

Do not rely on Bp.tf - I've had several hats that don't even exist according to that place...

The problem with this is not about "I don't have to trade with them" but when I click "matches" for my trade, I get a ton of ridiculous would-not-even-think-about-trading-with-that-guy posts. Either I block the user which isn't ideal as they can't see my trades in the future and I can't see anything else of theirs (They might not have ALL bad trades), or I'm stuck with it.

I wish there were an option to just hide or block a specific trade. I trade weaps for a scrap each and I have to scroll past 50 "1 scrap : 2 weaps" trade to finally find someone who is looking to buy weaps for a scrap each. It's rather tedious.

Removing the link in the previous post, do not link to other people's trades as examples that you deem negative.

Sometimes they do... I've seen posts locked because some mods don't believe its feasable. Usually they are right, sometimes they are wrong and you can then just make an exact copy of that thread, obviously with bookmarks lost.

We try our best to weed out troll trades from what, I guess you can call, an "unfavorable" trade? If it seems like the person is clearly making a trade as joke (for example a Max Head for a refined) then we'll close it. But f it's close to what the "accepted" value of an item is, even if people dont agree with that price we will keep that trade open.
