How to report fresh accounts in outpost ?
phishers create a new account and log into outpost. i still get phish invites when i bump my trade.
i check their profile, they have not made a single trade or anything before. hence the report button does not show.

i think this is a right way to stop phishers. ban them from the site. i use screenshots to show their phish links.

That won't do anything.

Account A Views outpost and accounts B through Z add the friends. Banning the phishing bots will do nothing
but they have to create new accounts and sign in to outpost to access outpost.

You don't seem to understand that:
- You don't need to login to harvest SteamIDs.
- You can harvest SteamIDs with legit account and pass them onto phishing bots. Phishing bot therefore never enters the website.
- There is no way to distinguish between real human browsing the website and bot scraping the website for data.

you need to log in through Steam to tf2outpost. once they send you a phish link, ban them at outpost. i dont get phishing that commonly these days. it has been working.

1 bot can only add a few. i believe there is a friend add limit. i dont think they can create infinite steam accounts. soon they will get tired of it.

What for? You have no idea what you're talking about.
well i thought you need to log in to both create trades and add friend. i think bazaar.tf requires you to log in to do anything.
but you werent very constructive in your post, you could easily mention as a suggestion tf2outpost should require everyone to log in to add friend to steam.

Re-read what you have posted and think for 10 seconds and you might find the problem.
what is the problem ? is there anything wrong trying to make tf2outpost a better place and stop the phish? any constructive ideas you want to add ? please do.

i've reported people for phishing and theyre banned for being hijacked.

so we dont need to log to tf2outpost after all. hope this will change as a requirement to log through steam for all dealings. phishing has been less so far.

I think you've missed the point, Let's pretend here that I was a phisher.

My account is perfectly normal, logged in and ready to view everyone's information. My account will then scrub the site for the information it needs, Steam ID's, Profile links, etc.

I then send that information to alt accounts Currier Bell 2, Currier Bell 3, Currier Bell 4 and more. They are the ones that send links to other users over Steam and never actually logged onto the site.

Even if we banned 2, 3, and 4, they have never been on the site. It was all Currier Bell 1 who did the work, who still looks perfectly fine and is logged on the site.

You could always use IP-Bans
Phishers use hijacked accounts to scrape IDs and add/phish users.

That's when your trade appears on the front page.
