A few months ago, the staff updated the TF2 Outpost site so you people can open and close trades and items within a trade as easily as clicking an item to close it and then clicking it to re-open it. This change was great but the rules behind it were never updated.

The current rule for TF2 Outpost is that if you're out of stock you simply stop auto-bumping your trade. This practice is not effective and still allows these empty trades to show up for people in their searches and are terribly frustrating to buyers who waste their time adding and sorting through all these empty trades. I'd like to see the this rule changed so that if you no longer have an item, you are not allowed to list it at all, not simply turn off auto-bump. This makes far more sense and will be enormously helpful to buyers who are tired of sorting through empty trades of people are listing but have nothing to sell in them or have abandoned them all-together.
