TF2 Warehouse vs. TF2 Outpost
Too be honest, i have to agree. I had so many unusuals the other day (not now because i sold them) and people were asking for very low prices, so i made huge profit off of selling them on servers. TF2 Warehouse really is easy, it offers the items fair price in credits. But seriously, people are saying on TF2 outpost comments like this in other people's trades:

"You need to offer more fair trades!"
"Lowball much."
"Highball much."
I know alot of people that have quit TF2 Outpost due to this. But TF2 Outpost, can you please at least do something about high balling and low balling? I can't make enough profit on TF2 because of this! Please respond! I need an answer to this.

We here at Outpost do not feel that we are in the position to dictate what people can ask/offer on items and that punishing users because of this would be next to impossible. There is no true prices to items and they can sell for what people want to sell them for, or offer how much they want.

So besides punishing users that are clearly making troll offers, there isn't much that can or will be changed.

What do you mean by: "There is no true prices to items?" We have Backpack.tf for that!

Backpack.tf does not set the prices, the community does.
So if backpack.tf doesn't set the prices, then how is the price for all of the items in the TF2 universe determined, and by whom?

Backpack.tf isn't a bible to live by, it's a suggestion site. They suggest a value on certain items. There is no fixed value for any item in the tf2 universe. There are no "prices" for any items, it's a free market. I can charge 1 refined for one of my unusuals or I could charge 5000 dollars, I have the right to sell my item for whatever I want and there isn't a site that can stop me from doing so. This is an exaggeration, and we'll hide trades that are extremely unreasonable, such as asking 5000 dollars for a lower tier unusual, but I used that example to get my point across.

By the high ballers / low ballers you mentioned and the trades they make.

I think Outpost is far superior. That credit system over at the other place is ridiculous.
The only suggestion I have to make Outpost better is time limits on the trades (relist after, say, 6 weeks?) There's a lot of 'traders' on here just collecting offers (for a year or more in some cases!) who clearly have no intention of selling or have set ludicrously optimistic prices to begin with. Sorry, but if you list a dozen previous offers, you ain't parting with it, you're just showing off your swag.
Apart from that, Outpost is the biz! It works well and the Mods are quick and fair. Cheers for all your hard work, guys!

I use tf2 warehouse when people lowball or highball items i'm trying to buy or sell. I find that their number of credits per item is perfectly fair.

Tf can only see a small portion of sales, and they are gathered by self selected people of various motivations. Plus if tf were right prices would never change right?

The only thing tf is good for is a basic range. In other words don't sell your unusual for a scrap. But when people consider it the bible, and start throwing it down in outpost spam posts demanding a price, thats where it goes wrong, then it becomes a rather circular argument, you want me to sell you X item at tf's price so tf will be right:P

Anyways there are no "true" prices, just what the market will bear.

Whats "not enough" profit to op is not "fair prices" to another person, so you just have to leave it up to people to make their own decisions on what is right for them.

They're different sites, anyway. TF2WH is trading with bots, they also don't pay as much as the item sells for on their site. For example: Brotherhood of arms is selling for 20,000c, If you're willing to sell your Brotherhood of arms, they will buy for 18,600c. If that makes sense.
Outpost is trading with other users for items. Sometimes selling to Outpost is better, even though I haven't sold a thing. I'm new to the whole trade thing so please don't hate me ;c.
I admit, I prefer to buy things on the WH, but on Outpost I think it's better to sell.
