If a trade is old and inactive, it can and should be reported. But Outpost will check the users' activity on site before taking any action. Some people simply don't reply in their own trades, therefore one should not assume the user is inactive based on that only.

The previous post is correct. While it often seems like a trade is inactive, in most cases the user has shown some form of activity on the site. I have seen a trade that was a year old with no responses from the creator in months, while they were actively commenting on their other trades.

The biggest indicator of an abandoned trade usually isn't the activity on the site, but their activity on steam. That usually tells if a trade has truly been abandoned.

i understand but no responses to a offer over a month or more is a waste of peoples time and it is a trade site after all and to me " no responses after a months " = inactive on that paticular trade . After all i was talking about a Specific trade not wat they might be doing somewhere else on the site .

I agree. This is a trading site - if you have a trade that is inactive for a month, it should be closed. Likewise trades that are a six months to a year old that list lots of 'C/Os' - sorry, but that is not a trade, it is merely someone showing off their swag.
As for the argument that 'some people just don't reply in their own trades', I would suggest that anyone who doesn't reply/acknowledge/barter/haggle any offers they get simply doesn't have sufficient grasp of the concept of 'trading' to be using a trading site in the first place.

I saw a trade or two buying keys for 2-3 ref, that were still being auto-bumped. Should those be reported as well?

If a trade is unrealistic it will be closed so feel free to report it.
