I would but I don't want to push my luck after a recent interaction with support. Things got a little heated. :P
I know what you're getting at tho, not playing the blame game. Just a little pissed off this is happening again.
Imagine how we feel. We are the ones banning these accounts, going through reports and investigating trades and items histories... it was perfect and they just screwed us (and themselves) again. Don't ever rely on Steam to do anything for you.

Steam implemented a friend request restriction shortly after we put the warning, this is the real reason they stopped adding people.
