I think it's expensive too. I was gonna taking it simply because of the auto bump but the thing of being avoided by other traders kinda holds me off.
That's a flat out lie. Don't post if you don't know what you are talking about.

The premium page itself is loaded entirely through HTTPS.
I'm just waiting for my premium to disappear, won't end up spending $5 a month I already gave $10 for a lifetime and then the update happened, feels like I was ripped off :/
Sources: I'm premium
I mean Outpost is great but comparing to like dispenser.tf when you can have your trades and your own bot for 50$ and it auto-trades for you.
Please think about it admins. If you lower the fee you will receive less per premium user but i'm sure you will have more people turning into premium so it will bring more profit than now
As someone already stated, if you donated more than $X in the past, Outpost gave you Premium status for life. Since they essentially lied to everyone who donated, there's no reason to assume that they'll keep your premium status intact, or that it wont drop or raise in price, or whatever else they feel like doing.
The other factor is price. It's currently priced at $60/year. To put that in perspective, I pay $80 per year for "unlimited" hosting for 40+ domain names with unlimited bandwidth, storage space and a ton of features from a reliable mainstream source. Hell, even services like Netflix are only marginally more expensive, and they use hundreds upon hundreds of times more bandwidth and spend thousands of times more on their staff and services. In short, I've paid a lot less for a lot more on much more valuable websites.
At the end of the day though, you should consider whether paying for premium benefits you more than the cost, if so then it's a fair buy, but personally it's hard to consider $60 for a green name and 25 extra trades good value.
There are still lots of users willing to pay for premium and are satisfied. If it is working for Outpost then I don't see why they would change anything about it.
Maybe if it was appropriately suggested in the proper section you might be able to change something, but ranting about it most likely won't help.
Some comments on premium and its pricing were made on the latest AMA: http://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/23i8jj/we_are_tf2_and_outpost_people_sneeza_helenangel/

We do have many people paying for premium, and the overall active users count has only slightly decreased since the premium announcement - pretty much due to the decline in TF2 trading itself. It's clear to us people didn't leave the site, even though a lot of people said they (or everyone) would.
