Scam bots?
don't know if there is already a discussion about this but I have been added 5 times today by bots that give you the "hi can you add my friend" with the dodgy links and it appears to have become quite a serious problem. is anyone else getting this and is there any way of stopping it.

Ugh, those Outpost phishers are really getting annoying indeed. I just say "NO YOU HACKER!" and delete them as friends directly, that's the easiest method or except maybe just removing them simply..

i report them but its becoming a massive chore

I feel sorry for them. All poor ignorant users who unknowingly clicks a link and puts in their account info. When the phishers have taken all their money, they turn the accounts into these mindless drones (bots), roaming around outpost. It's a sad story indeed.

I just unfriend them, and block all communication. They're beyond saving.

well those accounts are accounts wich has already been hijacked, the owner usually can retrieve their acc soon, so if i block them they may be future buyers and sellers for my items so i have no choice other then to unfriend them. These guys target people with a good inventory, i have an unusual so i get around 5 of these phishing bots a day, just avoid them and u should be fine.

I know how it is,accidentally i trust one of these guys and i got hacked, when you click that will go to a replica of the steam, then if you enter your name and password they will now yor account details but they can't acces it so they will say something like"Sorry your steam guard won't let us enter you to the site please take this"they give you a thing that is named "SteamGuard"if you click that and download it your steam guard goes of so they can acces your account, the think that hacker does is adding all people that plays tf2 and leave the site,so your account become a bot for them, but if you do this first thing first activate your steam guard, then change your password and then tell every one a hacker added them then get some cool items when the steam guard let's you trade :D this worked for me BTW,i hope i helped in case something like this happends.(PS:the ones that the hacker gived the link are gonna report you/swear you, only if they are cool guys won't swear)don't get trolled by this hacker,if you see 2 or more guys adding you delete them!
